Okay, I mostly made this because I have a Trans friend who is afab. They're in drama for our school (like me hehehe) but they keep getting placed with female roles which causes them dysphoria and it's one of the reasons they're not going to do drama again for second semester. It makes me upset that it's hard for actors have to go through this. They HAVE short hair, too, and if it's confusing? The audience can deal with it. They, to me, don't even have a high pitched or girly voice (except when they screech or something), and i think it's unfair they've been placed into this. I feel rlly bad for them, and i really hope that more directors (school or not) will continue to place people with roles that make them comfortable.
I'm pretty sure the only time I've seen my wishes happen was when the creator of heartstopper made Darcy Nonbinary for the actor that was playing them in the Netflix series, since I'm pretty sure he's transmasc
