hi welcome deputies to your worst nightmare -- IMPORTANT NOTICE - the highrank admin nor i are in charge of talking here, commenting here, etc. the only thing you do is give the highrank admin the tile youve voted on when youre done. at no point should the highrank admin have to lead you step by step on what to do STEPS 1. Create a new comment thread HERE with all of the deputies. This is where you'll discuss that week's exploration. A comment thread MUST be created, otherwise moderators have 0 way to know how you guys are doing. 2. Each deputy should find at least 1 cat willing to participate. This should be in roleplay unless you are very close to the deadline. 3. Once each deputy has a cat, they will gather the participating cats in the thread and all cats - both cats going on the exploration and all deputies - will vote on which tile they want to attend. If a deputy is exploring they still only get one vote. 4. Once everyone has voted (or if the deadline is up and not everyone has voted (but everyone has been properly alerted theyre supposed to vote), just go by majority. Report the chosen tile to Aegis. -- should a deputy not get a cat or not be participating, don't panic, just proceed as far as you can without them. you can and probably should give them a reminder or two but like it's not your job to make sure other deputies are doing what they're supposed to be doing. * * do not submit a tile if a deputy did not collect cats. aegis will handle it. hint: someone is going to have to step up to be the one to create the comment thread and submit the tile to aegis. this will not be done automatically by aegis or me or anyone, it's all up to you guys. hint 2: an exploration can hold up to 5 cats. the more cats = better chances at surviving, but you'll all have to coordinate to ensure you don't all accidentally choose 2 cats, as then you'd have 6 which is too many. hint 3: sometimes you may not get pinged but the thread is still going !!! making sure your fellow deputies are pinged is really helpful but in case it doesn't happy you might want to check back in occasionally so you don't get left behind. -- Explorations should be weekly. There is an extra week's grace period in case something goes wrong, but it should not be a habit to take two weeks to get an exploration party together. Should two weeks run out, it is Aegis' job to check in on the thread that has been created here and see who's fault it is that they have not been given the tile. (i.e. someone didnt gather cats). Aegis has been instructed to demote any deputies who have not done their exploration duties for the week. If you should go on hiatus it should be a reasonable expectation to tell the highrank manager so they can plan around it. Highranks are encouraged to step down if they need to be gone for over two weeks, because it's just... not okay to be keeping a Clan on hold that long. -- Explorations are extremely important as they prove you have all the capabilities to be a leader. This includes: -- Coordinating with other Clans' highranks to create and execute a plan of action to accomplish something. -- Building a connection with your own Clan and being able to convince cats to follow your plans, even if dangerous. -- Building connections with your Clan through roleplay. -- Doing a weekly task consistently and on time, even if it may not be something you enjoy. -- Managing actions that affect other cats' lives. The higher exp of a cat you convince, the better chance all cats have at surviving. Picking the easiest cat with 0 exp might be nice for you, but at the end of the day you're genuinely just.... putting everyone elses cats at risk and that's not okay :sob: It is also the only deputy task that can be accurately moderated to ensure it is being done, as the rest are fairly vague. Thus, doing this also shows you understand the importance of Deputy tasks and are hopefully doing all of them and actually care about being deputy lol!!! therefore if you cant do this you rlly just arent a good fit for leader sorry !!
