As of October 9th, 2025 WNSEZ allegedly imposed sanctions on Petrol Industry of Sovska (NIS) due to Alvertonite "Gazprom Neft" and "Gazprom Marunesia" (previously sanctioned by WNSEZ) taking more than 50% ownership in NIS. This reflects on Sovska economy: most of fuel imports have been halted and NIS gas stations are no more able to accept cards (due to potential secondary sanctions on banks cooperating with it.) Government officials ensured that there will be enough fuel reserves until New Year and talks with "our Alverton partners" will be held.
