I'll probably organize this and make my thoughts easier to read through later, for now it's just nonsensical ranting but feel free to try reading it lol So, I'm finally giving in and scripting the entirety of ASITM. But I might need some of your help with this. Basically, I scrapped a few of my old ideas, and it's not just gonna be 2 seasons because why would I ever make something that simple? I'm doing a PROLOGUE series, season 0, where each volume of the comic would be a different character's backstory. Pretty sure you guys can figure out which volume is for which character. After the backstory series, we move on to season 1. Classic plot, slightly altered storytelling, the same old ASITM but better. We find out the plot twists, a bunch of crazy drama happens, and THEN we move on to season 2. This is overall a great plan because now I get more time to script and plan the stuff I'm not sure about yet, so what's the problem? I dunno which one to finish first. I mean, it would make more sense to do season 0 first, because 0 is the original prologue thing. But I might just pull a C.S. Lewis and make the prologue AFTER season one, since I have that one planned out a lot more. Also, more people would probably read it since it's the most similar to the old plot. So doing season 0 first would be less confusing, but not as enjoyable for the audience. Then again, if you guys wanted season 0 first I could do that, it might actually be a little easier since I still have some pretty big concepts for the characters and it would be less plot. The main point is that I could go either way, which is why I need you guys to vote or something because I genuinely don't know what I want to do here (so as polite as it is to say "just do what's easier/what you want!", it's not helpful right now I fear) Anyways PLEASE help me, also I promise to add some traditional art to my profile this month since I have like 3-4 sketchbooks full of nonsense, and I might be drawing some ASITM characters in Halloween costumes so also feel free to comment suggestions! (If you managed to read all of that I'm genuinely impressed, have a gold star)
I can already hear the whole nonexistant audience shaking my sad little artist bones, screaming "BUT WHEN ARE YOU POSTING THIS!!!" Great question, I have no idea! I'm getting a fall and a winter break soon, but after that I'm going to be at school most of the time. I don't have a lot of time to work on this, even on weekends, so I had to come up with a plan to keep consistently posting once I finally put the first chapter(s) up. Here's what I have so far: - Use spare time during week days to storyboard/script each volume. - Spend the majority of breaks/days off to draw as MUCH of the digital version as possible. - When I have a bunch of chapters drawn, I'll post one every few weeks. - If I run out of chapters before I have more drawn, make some stupid little extras/sketches to post. It's gonna take a while for me to finish so many chapters, so PLEASE be patient with my absence I KNOW I'm a deadbeat dad to my dying fandom I PROMISE IM WORKING ON THIS JUST GIVE ME SOME TIME </3
