INFECTION STAGES: The infection usually spreads through bites or infected blood entering open wounds, although Dandy was infected from an injection from Delilah. STAGE 1 (1-3 days): The infected Toon feels more tired than usual. Their pupils dilate and their limbs shake slightly. Stage 2 (4-7 days): The Toon's vision will become blurred. Red and purple veins that spread from the eyes and mouth are visible. The Toons can have painful migraines and seizures at this stage. They can also have erratic behaviour and have trouble swallowing due to some swelling in the throat. Their colours begin to fade. STAGE 3 (1-2 weeks): The infected Toon is started to lose their sanity. The previously mentioned red and purple veins have spread and now cover their entire head and neck, sometimes spreading to the upper torso. The Toon can no longer eat and drink due to the throat swelling. Their limbs elongate and their teeth sharpen. At this stage, the Toons' reflexes are faster and they can move extremely quickly. STAGE 4 (3+ weeks): The infected Toon has completely lost their sanity. The veins completely cover their body and the limbs are elongated and thin. The bones stick out from under the skin and the eyes are sunken and completely dark. The Toons' mouth always hangs open, revealing sharp and jagged teeth. Their senses of smell and hearing are very sharp and they roam the floors, searching for lost Toons to k!ll and satisfy their hunger.
MORE ON INFECTED TOONS: They... -move almost silently, except for quiet hisses, growls or snarls due to the vocal cords warping during the first stages -are still RPable, but they WILL mindlessly attack uninfected or Twisted Toons -can recognise each other and will either fight for territory or hunt together. INFECTION IS REVERSABLE. If the infected Toon has at least half of their surface area covered in ichor, they will transform into a Twisted, BUT THEY WILL HAVE THEIR SANITY RETURNED The Twisteds will feel chronic pain in their limbs due to the bones stretching from the infection. Twisteds who were previously infected will have one eye remain sunken and blind and some veins will remain red/purple. Their colour will also be slightly dulled. If a Toon does not want to be infected, they can apply ichor to the skin or just drink it (but it tastes REALLY bad) Toons becoming Twisted is irreversible though.
