This takes inspiration from many stories, but mostly the AU for Timothy in Tedious Tales of Sodor (I'm assuming that's him, though I could be wrong). He was the original No. 1 for the NWR, before a tragic accident where his brake shoes weren't replaced after maintenance. Instead of being a vengeful ghost, Timothy keeps a watchful eye on the engines and insures they are safe, especially Thomas.
