Of course, it was new! Why not explore? Yet what he had found in there was.. much different, yet much better than the jewels he had been expecting. He found small rodents and scavengers exploring near the entrance, which was normal- except what he had found on them. Growing on the creatures was a beautiful, iridescent crystal. It seemed to feed off of their life force- the smaller ones didn't affect them as much, yet there were some cases where the crystals consumed them.
