I’m probably going back to main today / during this wake cycle (edit: this did not happen LOLLL maybe tomorrow I tried earlier but my internet wasn’t being good), SO thought it’d be fun to end my break the same way I started it, and by that I mean an update on the new Cricketcry ref As you can see, I have made. a LOT more progress since mid-October. If you’re wondering how then honestly I have no idea the best answer I can give you is hyperfixation and extreemly long commentary videos. I am being so fr when I say that btw I’m STILL making my way through a 6 hour video on some vtuber drama what is going on here bro Anyways!! If all goes well I shoulddd have this done by the end of the week, however I have a lot of more pressing projects to do (cough cough SOAS ANNIVERSARY….), so I may need to force myself to put this on the backburner for a bit so I can get said pressing project over with. As for the ref though, once I get all the words done (which is a VERY a tedious process. I mean it’s not the worst thing ever but I never look forward to it), I can do coloring, which for something like this is always the easiest. Thennn extra additions, and I’ll be done!! If I had to rank steps in doing a mega ref from hardest to easiest, I think sketching and things like the symmetrical bust + back view is the hardest, with one-off lineart (i.e lineart I don’t need to duplicate) and coloring being the easiest. It sounds a little counterintuitive but idk my process is a little odd also I have a love hate relationship with the symmetry tool Also ignore how messy some things are oops!!!! Specifically the songs section I did a last minute addition so it’s kinda jank but it’ll get fixed once I get to it. Also I have a rlly sick idea to add some Crikcetcry quotes in the more empty spaces so I might do that we will see!!! Edit: recently checked the tracked time for the piece and it currently stands at around 20 hours and 55 minutes. Oh myogd this is gonna be another 24hr piece isn’t it
