Chapter 1 ______________________________________________ A girl stared longingly at the sky. The clouds danced above her heads, seeming to form shapes. Different animals floated through the sky, drifting aimlessly. They looked so close that she could touch them. She could stare at them for hours... All of a sudden, a raindrop fell on her head. And another. And another. Soon, her head was soaked. "Camille!" She turned turned around. Her mother was standing in the doorway. Unlike Camille, she was dry. "I told you that it would rain! Come inside before you get drenched! Camille, sighing, headed inside. Even though the clouds had turned gray, the clouds were still as beautiful as ever. Patches of different shades of gray covered the sky like quilt work. "Camille!" She realized that she was still standing in the doorway. "Shut the door. You're letting the rain in." Handing her a towel, her mother ushered her into the living room. A cup of hot cocoa was waiting there, complete with marsh mellows. Camille sighed yet again. Her mother knew her too well. Grabbing the mug, she went to the windowsill, choosing to stare at the sky. Her mother, confused like always, frowned. "You know, Camille, there are better things to do than look at clouds. Why can't you do something else?" Camille remembered not too long ago. Memories that there was more to it than it seemed. But her mother didn't understand. Camille doubted she ever would. So, she just smiled and shrugged. Waiting took patience. And Camille would wait as long as she could.
