New Story of Nefarion, The Nightmare King, for before the game: A Portal Master known as Cillian was bound with the element Undead, one of the most difficult to master. Evil Spell Punks flocked to him and corrupted him, and granted him the power of every element. Overwhelmed by such power, he broke and became Nefarion, a calm calculating menace. He slaughtered thousands of other Portal Masters, using the Spell Punk crafted Mask of Power. In the normal timeline, he became complacent, and Wizbit defeated him after years of sneaking massive amounts of Amadanite to his palace. He became obese, stupid, dull, and greedy. However, a Time Spell Punk from the future about to die decided to use the last bits of its power to bring the Nightmare King in his prime to modern times, as normally it would kill him do bring such a powerful being to the future, but since he was almost already dead, the Punk felt it was a worthy sacrifice. Nefarion was extremely weakened, and his Mask of Power was shattered and scattered across the Skylands, he was saved from his death. He slowly regained strength in the shadows, concocting a plan to take over once more, in a time with more powerful opposition.
