Zelda was fourteen-more poised, more watched, more alone. Her days were filled with politics, lessons, and expectations she never asked for. They hadn't seen each other in person since that last day at the fence. Until now. The courtyard was packed. Knights stood in polished rows, banners fluttered in the wind, and the royal family sat on the raised platform, watching as the ceremony began. Link stood among the trainees-his tunic crisp, his posture perfect, his heart quietly thudding. He was being knighted. The youngest in his class. The best. Zelda sat beside her father, hands folded in her lap, eyes scanning the line of boys until she found him. Link. He looked older. She looked different. Their eyes met. Just for a second. Awkward. Soft. Sad. They both smiled-small, hesitant, flickering. Then looked away. Neither of them knew what to say. Neither of them could say anything. Not here. Not now. The ceremony continued.
