Finally, after months of development, Cup Guy is back. Again. This is just a preview of what I've been cooking up for Cup Guy's Miscellaneous Battles In Miscellaneous World. This is probably the most advanced project you'll see on my profile yet. This engine is only for show. Warning, this contains flashing imagery. Some Basic Info About This New Engine: Mostly some improvements over the original one I made back in 2023, mostly in the physics, and other things. Changes: New Handy Helpers, which are the Invincibility, the Magic Sandles from Zig and Sharko Season 4, and the Super Bouncy Parry Shoes. If the special meter is above 50 and less than 99, you can use them. After that, you need to use the EX or the Supers before you can use them again. New Supers, which are the Hydra Swarmer (used in the old version of Casey's RailWay Racket.), the Sonic Sound Bomb, the Storm Missile, and the Warp Bomb. If the Special Meter is above 149, you can use them with no limits. The parry move now doesn't let you be invulnerable to other boss projectiles when doing the move. New Man Mug and Cup Miss: These are optional AI helpers designed to help you out on the bosses. Gotta add them in one way or another. Cup Guy also has his own AI Mode, so you can sit back and let them (at least try to) beat the bosses for you. The only problem is, all of these AI things are kind of dumb sometimes, meaning they run into projectiles often than not. Plane Mode: This new addition is for plane bosses in the upcoming future. In this mode, Cup Guy, Man Mug, and Cup Miss have new EX shots specifically for these plane stages, and now, you can't run into the boss' hitbox, otherwise you take damage. Run-And-Gun Mode: New platforming levels using an edited version of 's platformer engine based on 's Simple Collision Engine that features scrolling, slope detection, and all the stuff to make a normal platforming game similar to CupHead's Run-And-Gun stages. New Mausoleums: These stages are your first introduction to Cup Miss. That's pretty much it, as far as I know.
I used tutorials from @griffpatch's "Code A Platformer Game" series to make the physics for Cup Guy a little better. Some assets belong to @CaliMom3LE, and the scrolling engine belongs to @4cry, albeit edited a bit. Bug reporting is encouraged.
