After the incident between Cyrus and Dallas, Via was sitting on her bed. She heard noises down stairs and decided to see what it was about. As she was walking, she passed Dallas's room. Inside were Breach and Dallas, both crying on Dallas's bed. She decided not to interrupt and kept walking. When she got downstairs, everyone but Dallas, breach, Cyrus and havoc were looking for something. They were spread out across the entire main lobby. "What are you guys doing?" Via asked. Zap stuck his head up from behind one of the couches. "Looking for havoc," he said, his eyes darting around. "Oh. He left a while ago," Via announced. "Wait. We haven't told him about the sunset rule," flicker said, concerned. "Did he say what time he planned to be back?". "He said he wanted to stay the night at a mote-" Via stopped herself from speaking. The shock hit her like a freight train. "If we don't find him soon," Zach chimed in, "He won't be as lucky as me." They all decided that it would be best if they split up into groups of 2. Dallas, Breach and Cyrus weren't coming. Via was put with zap and since zap was the fastest, they were told to go downtown, the farthest point from the house. It would be at least a 2 hour walk there but with zap, they could get there in half an hour, at least that's what via thought. "So you reckon we can get there in under half an hour?" Via dared teasingly. "Are you kidding me? We'd be lucky to get there in under an hour," Zap replied. Via thought he was joking for a second but his face told her otherwise. "What? But aren't you the fastest one here?" Via was very confused. "Yeah, but I need a break every once in a while, to let my brain catch up to what my bodies doing," he explained. "Well then we better start moving," Via said half annoyed that it would take so long, and half happy she could spend more time with Zap. Zap scooped up via, like the other day, but this time she was confused, she just settled into his arms. "Ready?" Zap asked. "Yep" Via said, and with that, Zap sprinted off. The next hour was a series of long burst of speed and then five minutes of rest, over and over. It kind of got annoying, as someone's life was in danger, but she kind of enjoyed the time she spent with Zap. Finally they made it downtown. They went from motel to motel hoping havoc would be in one of them. Finally they got to one that was obviously beaten down. The led signs were hanging by wires, and the second floor looked as though it would collapse at any moment. This was the last motel downtown, and Via hoped he wouldn't be here. They went inside the check in area and walked up to the desk. Behind it was an old lady typing on a keyboard, and a very angry short man. "Hello. We were wondering if a guy named havoc checked in here?" Via asked the man. "Do I look like I keep track of names," the man said with a smirk. Zap chimed in, "Sir, we're just trying to find our friend so if you could please help us that would be great." "I don't know anyone named havoc, and only people I know, stay here. So no, your friend ain't here," the man said obviously annoyed that zap stepped in. Via and Zap were quick to get out of there. "Thanks," Via said starting to blush, "for stepping in back there." "No problem," zap said, "Now let's get back. I'd say we have..." Zap looked at the sky and searched for the sun. "Oh-no." Before Via could even ask questions, she was already in his arms, and they were sprinting home. "What's wrong?" via asked as her words got whipped away by the wind. "We only have 30 minutes to get home before sunset, at least thats what I estimate." Zap said, his words meeting the same fate as Via's words. Now they were in trouble. They both stayed quiet, as they watched the light draining the road, the same light that meant life and death to them. As the light drew slim, they crossed a hill, and now the house was within sight distance. Via felt like she was gonna make it just in time, when suddenly, the light disappeared all together, and with one last breath, everything went black. What felt like an eternity of darkness passed before Via was shaken awake by Zap. They were alive... But where
