Today I had time to work everyone so I decided to make an update. First I lunged my newest horse PH Wreath of Roses or Bouquet! She is a 10 year old Anglo Arab mare who I bought with the intent of showing her in dressage. I don't have her saddle yet because I'm getting it fitted for her back, so instead of riding her I exercised her on a lunge line. I don't have that much on Captain we just worked on bounce jumps, which he did amazing with! Here's where things get interesting. I've been doing some light jumping with Bell for fun and she's been on break for a week so she's a little fresh and I still chose to do some jumps at the end of our ride. I had gone through some poles with her and once she had stopped rushing through them I decided to take her over a small jump. As we were approaching it in trot she overjumped it and well... you can see what happens next. I am completely fine though! I might have a small bruise or two or be sore tomorrow, but I think we can all agree it can always be worse! I did get back on her and go through the poles I had set out a couple times to end the ride on a good note.
