CONamon 2016 is a test version that was published in October. This game featured many glitches, but was a foundation to collecting monsters and saving them via codes (EG: IE0232316020401). However, this lead to exploitation of the code, so major changes were made for the 2017 build. This included check digits, username verification and also encryption, creating its own blacklisting system too for abusive players. The 2016 build will be available, but will not receive any more updates past 2016. As the game is in a near finished state, there's no point in removing it. Those who wish to try to hack the game and create their own all-powerful CONamon can do so, but will be limited to what they can do in the 2017 build.
