This first piece is poetry. It is about growing to love something and then it disappears and you can never get it back. Change is very hard. And I symbolize that with music in this first piece. It's called 'The joyous sounds' It has 108 words. The sounds vibrate through my ears, Sometimes the right, others the left, Occasionally both ears begin to hear, The sounds that the music gives off. But as soon as I get used to The rhythm, the joyous sounds, They fade as quickly as perfume. And my ears only hear silence. I truly wish the sounds would stay, But suddenly another type of sound Has decided to take it's place. And all I feel is emptyness. The sounds vibrate through my ears, Once again and I enjoy the peace it gives me, But once more, the sounds I love to hear, Wipe away and another one takes it's place. ______________________________________ This piece is about meeting someone who I really feel in love with because of the way he acts, and treats me like I'm the best person he's ever met. It's 285 words. A song called 'No Other Man' What is it with these pop stars Falling for older guys? They always break their hearts And it always makes them cry There is this one guy Who's younger than me And he makes me feel so happy He's so gentle Nothing like anyone I've met before And I just might be insane I think I forgot my own name He's kind and Knows what I'm worth Says he never wants Me to feel hurt I'd stop falling but I don't think I can Cause he loves me like no other (no other) man He always knows when I'm sad And tries to make it better Knows how to deal with me when I'm mad I'm trying to keep it together If he asked me to marry him I would say yes I am not even of legal age yet He's so gentle Nothing like anyone I've met before And I just might be insane I think I forgot my own name He's kind and Knows what I'm worth Says he never wants Me to feel hurt I'd stop falling but I don't think I can Cause he loves me like no other (no other) man He's the flowers in the spring He's the snowflakes in the winter He's the joy in everything The prize at the end of the race, I'm the winner He's so gentle Nothing like anyone I've met before And I just might be insane I think I forgot my own name He's kind and Knows what I'm worth Says he never wants Me to feel hurt I'd stop falling but I don't think I can He's younger than most other men But I'd choose him again and again and again _________________________________________ The script piece I had written for theater class for my peers, and it's just perfect that we needed to write script for this weekly! It's 995 words and it's inspired by Shark Tank lol- _____________________________________________
This is a speech about how hard it is to write a speech. It is 417 words. I hope you enjoy my suffering lol- So, coming up with a speech topic was really hard for me. And anyone who's ever had to write a speech can probably agree with that statement. I have gone from a thank you speech at the Grammys, to global warming and how to stop it, to what my favorite book it is, and why I love it. It's pretty crazy how this is the one type of writing I procrastinate on. But I found a good speech topic, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do: How Hard Writing A Speech Is. It's a really interesting topic when you think about it. I could write a speech about literally anything, yet this is the one I chose because 1) it's something I resonate with and 2) I find it humorous. Writing a speech is hard in many ways. Coming up with a speech topic is the hardest part. You will always second-guess your speech topic, it's kind of a process. "Oh, what if I change my speech to blah blah blah," or "My speech topic sounds so lame what if I...blah blah blah." Believe me, I know. It's super hard to get over that procrastination point, but once you do...it's still not smooth sailing. Sorry to disappoint. Then you have to write the speech, which is not much easier. Procrastinating on writing is something that works for every genre, not just speech. So, haha. Good luck with that my friend. Coming up with interesting arguments, points, and funny dialogue to keep your audience or judges intrigued is a hard thing to write. Speeches are hard. It's even hard for me, someone who always has something to say and write. I've hit a blank here, and I still have a couple hundred words to go on this speech. Writing a speech is so hard. Do you agree with me now? I hope so. I'm trying very hard to convince you of this, but when you're not very good at writing speeches, convincing someone that writing a speech is hard with a speech, is complicated enough as it is. Having a word cap for your speech is a completely different thing entirely. In conclusion because I really cannot keep this up, writing speeches are very hard. Whether you're coming up with the topic, or just trying to write it down, I can guarantee there will be trouble for you. But don't give up. It'll be worth it in the end. I wish you good luck.
