HUGE YAP ALERT ...Yeah that's the only content warning lmao. I have a lot to say. There will be no pretty slideshow. It's just words. Ahhh so scary reading uooghh the horrors. Just read. 31 days. A full month. Without access to Deltarune for me :sob: THE ENTIRE SECRET BOSS GOT SPOILED TO ME ON MY YOUTUBE FYP I HATE IT -Ignore my anger, I'm venting. Anyways, I've reached the halfway point of my intended vacation stay. Might as well make an update. This time, the image is related, but I'll save it for later. AKA the end because fuh you I'm still angry about spoilers. So, what is new? Well, firstly, I've gone insane. Specifically about the Wifi. IT'S GARBAGE. Chinese wifi is passable, but certainly not for big networks like Scratch or even Dorcsid sometimes. It is so unbelievably loosey-goosey all of the time, you would not believe me. It's to the point where I'm using cellular data even at home. Fyi, that's beyond terrible. There is one upside, which gets me to my next point. Everything's pretty cheap. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing crazy. But the fact I can get 30 GB of data on my phone for the US equivalent of TEN DOLLARS is insane to me. If it weren't for the fact I have a life in the US, I wouldn't mind staying here either. Besides, my mom has already reunited with a bunch of family and I think this trip made her happier. I'm tolerating this place just so that continues. That's sad lmao This trip was for me I lowkey might be a liability. Okay moving on- Next up: and this is the meat of this project. I got a tonsillectomy. Which is a big fancy term for "we chop off your tonsils." Yeah, I got actual surgery. What are tonsils? Well, in my completely unbiased opinion, they've been my little tormenters for my entire life up until two weeks ago. However, according to Google, they're part of your immune system, and as far as I'm aware, they just trap germs. Apparently (yes, I never knew before), my tonsils were a particularly bad case. Got tonsil stones all the time. They were also what ACTUALLY caused my bad breath, so that's great. Fortunately, my mom wanted to get rid of this problem on our stay to China. At the time, I imagined going to a doctor's appointment and getting new medicine I did not imagine: - Going to a hospital - Doing tests - Scheduling surgery - Staying overnight - Having surgery - Recovering And proper recovery for a tonsillectomy takes a MONTH And, for the record, the stay at the hospital was horrible. One kid also had a tonsillectomy but he was way younger and thus proceeded to have a tantrum. But I digress, I related to his pain at the time. My throat hurt too. However, what was unfortunate was that my hospital bed was Hello Kitty themed... ... Shut up. I'm a future freshman in a children's hospital. I was like 5'8 next to a bunch of 3'1s If they hooked me up with a Batman bed though, they wouldn't even need anesthesia. I'd already be knocked If I made this a week ago, my ass would've been fuming. That's because the first four days of tonsillectomy recovery is genuine hell You're confined to a liquid diet, speaking hurts, drinking hurts, anything to do with your throat hurts. You can't open your mouth fully. And truth be told, I don't think I sneezed or yawned a single time during those four days. It is WILD As if it couldn't get worse (that was ironic it does get worse), my YouTube feed is usually full of food content. And because of the wifi, I had to watch a short fully in order for the next one to fully load So picture me, forced into a liquid diet while I am forced to watch recipe after recipe after recipe while I fcking die inside. This is some jigsaw bs what the hell However, it has gotten better. Today, I had the prospect of having my first burger since the surgery. Solid foods like that are an accomplishment, don't laugh. It was roasted instead of fried bc I couldn't have the latter but I remained grateful. Overall, recovery's not bad. The pain subsides after a week or two NOW. Yaaay- As for progression, I suppose you can call it post-game(?). I'm halfway through Zero Legends and just starting Uncanny Legends 3 Crown.
