The Corporate Sectors of Ancapistan

Some were prepared before the inevitable. Several corporate managers, billionaires, and wealthy politicians were able to escape to the city of Denver before the rise of the proletariat upon what was once a great nation. Before the collapse of all social order, a nuclear missile was sent to Chicago, obliterating a major bastion of the socialists, temporarily disabling any chance of the Commonwealth intervening in the west. After securing protection against any major threat, the managers decided to absorb vast swaths of the American west. A private army was mobilized to secure the region, made up of hired mercenaries, local militia groups, and remnants of the U.S. Armed Forces. With the West secured, the various corporations which had taken refuge in Denver formed Ancapistan, with a confederative structure, splitting the territory into various sectors. Each major corporation would be given their own private fiefdom, where they would have the freedom to control as they wished. Any who seek refuge in Ancapistan would be forced to sign a Locus Pactum, in which the person would be free to enjoy the state and would be granted safe passage for a maximum of two weeks. If they desire to be permanently protected, they would have to sign a Vita Pactum. The contents of the Vita Pactums varies within sectors, but they normally include the subject having to labor for a certain period, the insurance of their children and descendants having to labor, and monthly Action Sessions (intercourse). In exchange, the subject would be provided housing, essential supplies, safety, and an unknown amount of daily pay. Ancapistan is separated into three major social classes: the Proletariat, the Guardsmen, and the Managers.The Proletariat is made up of those under the Via Pactum, and they make up about 90 percent of the total population. The Guardsmen are the main defence force of Ancapistan, genetically enhanced to biologically separate them from the Proletariat. They are specially trained from birth to fight in wars, and the Guardsmen are commonly found in minor wars on the North American continent. The Managers are the high upper-class members of society, many of whom are direct descendants of the original refugees of Denver. One cannot transform from a Prole to a Guardsman, and the rate of Proles who are able to turn into Managers is especially slim. Aside from very rare occurrences, you are locked in your current role in society. Of course, everybody is happy, because this is freedom. We love freedom.
