3 Moon “Ah… I should have told her about them.” My thoughts were spinning. Are they okay? The whole world depends on them and if something happened to them that would not be good at all. The two sides would plunge straight into war like no cat has ever seen. “I should go check on them. Just to see.” I looked down at the floating star platform where my four perfectly good paws were. “There’s only one thing I can do.” I sighed as I said this, “Welp here I go!” I squeezed my eyes shut and concentrated hard. When I opened them I saw Ash laying on the ground and Star in a daze. Just then I heard a familiar voice, calling from above, “Moon! Moon?!” The voice called again. “A-Ash?” I asked hopefully. “Moon you're drowning!” In a flash she was about to jump off the edge when just in time I yelled “DON’T!” But by that time she was falling, falling fast. And she was too shocked to even fly. Luckily I snapped out of the daze and flew up to grab her. Then I gave her a big lecture about jumping off cliffs and it went something like this: Me: The whole quest could have ended! Ash: ….. Me: You should never jump off cliffs Ash: Okay? Me: Wait, you're dead? Ash: I don’t think so… (I slap me face) Me: How’s Star? Ash: Fine, I guess? “Okay then you’re not dead you’re just dreaming” “Nice” Ash said in a rather strange tone. She looked at the ground. I wonder what’s with magic cats and their obsession with looking at the ground. Like- even I do it. Ash smirked, “It’s from ‘The Two kinds Fury.’ Cats were doubtful about the war ending well. And, they looked at their paws because a demon/angel looking at a different kind was seen as disrespect. “So, first off,” I say, “How did you read my mind? And second I’m the one who is supposed to tell you that.” Ash shrugged like it was nothing. “Wait.” I say with confusion, “You’re kidding, your 7th-grade teacher taught you this?” I try to keep a straight face but I burst out laughing. “Sorry” “It’s okay.” She says. “I have to wake up. Bye!!” She waves to me and I wave back. Then I slap my face… again. I had forgotten to tell her again.
