okay okay hi!! I go by Gray/Grayson/literally anything I don’t care lmao, he/him though :) I’m a long-time writer/artist/guitarist and beginner taxidermist especially interested in the entomology aspects! I adore music in all its forms, listening, writing, and playing it often! if you’re curious, I especially enjoy McCafferty, The Offspring, Nirvana, MSI, Limp Bizkit, Septic meat, and Korn :p I take honors literature and I LOVE to apply that to roleplaying.. while I’m not super active on scratch atm I promise I’m still online, checking on my friends! basically once I have a reason to be, I’m on a lot haha ^_^ aand fair warning before interacting with me, I am autistic and pretty mentally ill, so just be considerate and I do apologize in advance for any misunderstandings that may be thrown our way LONGEVITY— I try to keep my characters for as long as I can manage!! I’m VERY interested in Vermilion and his life, so I can see him living to be 50+ moons at minimum! PLOT/DYNAMICS— I don’t like to plan out plot ideas, since I find it much more motivating and enjoyable to just see where my characters’ lives take them! as for dynamics, I want vee to have a gossip buddy, someone he can trust with his darkest secrets and talk about others’ with. I’d like him to have some sort of chosen family too. with his character, I expect there’ll be a myriad of short-term relationships, but eventually, I’d want him to settle down with his forever match :) WHY DO YOU WANT HIM?— I want this little guy for so many reasons— BUT we all have to start with one!! first off, I love his design, and I think the designer did an AMAZING job. he’s adorable, his soft edges and sad eyes capturing innocence with perhaps a bit of mischief beneath the surface.. I really enjoy the personality I’ve crafted for him! I think it fits him super well, and I’ve had the concepts drifting around for a while, embodying unnamed test characters so I could flesh it out. I think it’ll be perfect for him, and I’d love the chance to write with this little lion<3 PERSONALITY— • pos: intuitive, emotionally adept, amiable Vermilion has a sixth sense, if you will, that he can always tell exactly what another cat is thinking. And the very few where he cannot do so, he uses pure intuition to get to that conclusion. This is a scarily accurate method for him. Of course, he’s as friendly as can be, always a smiling face. He loves to meet new cats, and as such always tries his best to be as welcoming as can be! • neu: affectionate, alert, trusting Vermilion is naturally a very loving individual. Trust isn’t something that takes very long to earn, with him, and after the fact he’ll often be incredibly sweet and affectionate towards friends and all else, always wanting to show his gratitude that they’re sticking by him. As easy as it is for him to trust cats, he’s still aware, always conscious of shifts in atmosphere that might give him warning. • neg: jealous, dishonest, self-sacrificing Vermilion is a liar; he feels himself incredibly flawed and “damaged,” and often tries to protect acquaintances by lying about himself. This leads to self-sacrificing behavior such as hiding certain traits, habits, etc. or going out of his way to do things for those he cares about, no matter how dangerous. He always has to prove himself, always has to be worthy. He gets extremely jealous in this sense, always comparing himself and finding him to be envious of others, worrying excessively when friends start to drift away from him. ** CONT. IN N+C

FROM ABOVE ROLEPLAY EXAMPLES— note! my responses are often subject to wide variation in length, but I always make sure to give enough to work off of. offsite characters often have shorter responses than ones of scratch, simply because of the increased frequency of responses from others. • Vermilion (ignore the first person pov, this is extremely atypical for me): I sit in camp, the rustle of bird feathers keeping me grounded through the torrent of thoughts racing through my mind; they always did that. I am in a world of sound, and that sound is as ever-flowing as a vast river. beneath my paws is a small abundance of grasses and flowers, collected from around camp and half-stolen from the warriors returning from their rounds of the territory. I am keeping my paws busy, for if I don’t I’m certain I’ll be a “nuisance,” like some of the senior warriors say. it’s okay; I know I’ll have to work on that. I’m weaving the grasses into my fur, creating a flowery braid of greenery. part of me wonders where my littermates have gone—they couldn’t have gone out of camp, correct? would I have to come up with a story as to describe that I was, indeed, with them? I furrow my brow, cutting off another piece of grass with my unsheathed claw to add to my hair. I look up at the patter of kitten paws, cracking a smile at the sight of my brother. “rei!” I exclaim, waving him over with a friendly paw. “what have you been getting up to?” I call. • Quincy (offsite): The corner of Quincy’s mouth quirked up as he draws away. He cleared his throat. “You..trust me?” He likes that. The idea, that he’s trustworthy, at least in one man’s eyes. Maybe he doesn’t quite feel the part, but that someone else does feels... /Nice./ • Cassian (offsite): Cassian gave little more than a nod. He’d frozen up, upon seeing so much food. And it was theirs. Living on his own had taught him never to expect a next meal easy, and this was just that. It felt so irrationally.. /wrong./ “Conservation is, of course, a better idea.
