They came out to their parents. His mom supported him but his abusive dad left him,his mom, and sister. He also got glasses and shaved a side of his hair and dyed it purple. 11 yrs old They/Them Asher Still home schooled but goes to an after school LGBT+ club. Got diagnosed with ADHD. Came out to their mom and sister as non-binary and they both helped them style their hair and clothes. 12 yrs old They/Them Ashby Goes to LGBT+ school and made friends. Changed name to Ashby. Still non-binary and bisexual but dresses more feminine and got a haircut and dyed a side of it pink. Their mom let them get their ears pierced. 13 yrs old She/Her They/Them Ashby Still goes to an Lgbt+ school.She realized that they were a demigirl and her mom helped her dye her full hair purple. 14 yrs old She/Her Ashby still goes to LGBT+ school.She came out as transgender and Lesbian. Her mom learned more about LGBT+ and realized she was a demigirl. Her sister found out she was genderqueer and Asexual. Ashby is currently dating Nancy her gf and Nancy is scared to come out to her parents but Ashby, her mom,and her sister are helping Nancy come out. Other characters: 14 yrs old She/Her Evelyn (Ashby's gf) Goes to Lgbt+ school. She is lesbian and scared to come out. cisgender. 38 yrs old She/Him/Theirs Nancy (Ashby's mom) Nancy is Ashby's mom who was there by her side Ashby's whole journey. She found out she was genderqueer almost in the 40's. Had her first Child (Ashby's sis) when she was 20 and had Ashby when she was 24. 18 yrs old She/Her Hazel (Ashby's sister) Hazel came out as Pansexual when she was 13. Hazel loves her sister Ashby and has OCD. 40 yrs old He/Him Jonathan (Ashby's abusive dad who left her, her mom,and sister) Jonathan is homophobic,and Transphobic.He is in jail for child abuse.
