Immediately, they stuck a bookmark in and leapt from the bed, making their way towards the door. "Hello...?" Amber whispered as they opened it, blinking as they spotted three people- Mia, Star, and someone else they didnt recognize. "Who...?" Mia pushed past Amber to get inside. "That's Jane. My other friend. She wanted to watch us work on the science project." They blinked again, still confused. "Why...?" "Doesn't matter." Mia spoke, eyeing Star. "Not gonna growl at me today, weirdo?" Star ignored the other girl. "I... wasn't expecting you this early," Amber admitted. "It's the weekend, after all." "Well, you guys do have to work on the project." Jane spoke for the first time, her voice a soft whisper. Mia glared at her. "Well, Rose-" Star interrupted Mia. "Their name isn't Rose. It's Amber." she spoke frostily, the first time today. Mia looked shocked. "No- she's-" Star cut her off again. "Not she. /they/." Amber dared to glance at Mia, who curled her fist. "That's not real. That's-" Jane interrupted her friend. "Mia, that's- you're- that's mean." Mia's anger dissolved into panic. "Jane??? Rose???!" "THEIR NAME ISNT ROSE!" burst out of Star's mouth as she glared across the room. At that, Mia simply fled, slamming the door shut behind her. "Well.... um, let's uh, work on the project now?" squeaked Amber, nervous to speak after Star's eruption.
