In 2019, around three years after famous scratcher griffpatch had uploaded a game porting the popular game Geometry Dash to the simple website of Scratch, a mysterious chain of sites claiming to fully unblock Scratch on school computers, but almost entirely remade it instead. The site was very underground, and not many knew what it was, nor did anyone know who started it. But, as soon as scratch started becoming more popular for games specifically, it began to arise as something kids toiled with in schools. At the time, the website flawlessly hid the fact that it was a malware, but it slowly began to change ever so slightly, as if someone was either hacking it, or the site itself was becoming something new. On the site, Geometry Dash had also been ported, and had been featured on the front page, and had even ported every level. Things seemed completely okay, up until an incident that occurred on February 22, 2021. "When I loaded {website name removed for general safety}, something was immediately off. The loading screen that usually displayed an orange-red scratch cat, the mascot, with a standard rotating circle had now been replaced with a pitch-black screen with a irregularly pulsing, slowly moving white circle with text scrawled all over the background in foreign language. After around 7 seconds of loading, the site booted up, with all accounts having apparently been deleted. Projects were completely different, most of them simply failing to convert over, and being replaced with those grey question mark png things. Even the whole front page had been bugged, besides one particular project, Scratch Geometry Dash." reported a teenager who had frequented the site. After weeks of this site change, multiple children and school faculty reported an outbreak of a virus in their school's databases. Each of these schools had people who frequented this site. One of the main things people focused on was the way the new Geometry Dash looked, as well as what happened when it was played, which many people had suspected may have been the cause of the virus. "When I booted the game up, after seconds, I was immediately flashed with a strange logo, I don't remember exactly what it was but I know for a fact that it wasn't in English. After that, it cut immediately to the 'menu', which featured some catlike character? He was dark green, and he was surprisingly well-made for the time but his photo quality was horrible. The project had even advertised some sort of product that could be given for free upon completion. The whole thing was really sketchy, but when I tried to exit out, I found out that the page was fully locked in fullscreen. I couldn't." quoted another victim of the site. After baiting the victims, this game would make them play a very janky and unnatural version of base Geometry Dash, with flashy colors and text written in the background. The game had seemingly Christian values to it, even quoting whole verses of the Bible at times. Each death led to an advertisement of some sort, which was usually a PNG. "It wouldn't do anything for a while until I beat all three levels, and then, dear god, it got worse. Upon playing the fourth level, you would be relocated to a project, a video of the green figure showcased on the menu, with overlapping text speaking of what seemed to be the mascot of what the normal website was. The speech was mostly lost, but what was deciphered of it was as follows: "Things were _ since I lost her. _ never felt _ _ ever again, and that made me _ _. Whatever happened after that _ _ _ _ What _ all did is _." It is clear whoever really did write this lost someone, and seemed to blame others for it. Many people have theories of what it could mean. Some say the writer lost this someone due to a moral conflict because of the site's questionable morality, and others say it may be something else much more complicated, but even after everything, nobody knows who wrote it. Nobody was displayed online besides those who were accounted for as victims at the time of the malware attacks. After this message, the victims' computers would shut down forcefully and restart themselves and then display a ransom message stating that the exact damages caused to the school systems must be covered and sent to a strange address within a week, or else the virus would permanently fry the systems and potentially shut down schools for a very long time. No person has been identified responsible for four years, and, although the damage was repaired, the scandal petrified everyone involved, and many blocks were placed afterwards. The original website has since become lost media, but many others with similar concepts have been reported, and many strange green cats with them. Whatever "Shape" was, it clearly isn't dead and it may not have intentions to stop any time soon. Stay vigilant, and do not let them spread under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
