Just a few prompt responses from a few versions of my oc, Azura. I will be putting her full description in a different project at some point. The prompts are ones I made, based off a reality I created. I did edit it slightly so that it would stay well within scratch rules. \TW for mild violence, death,(kinda horror?), just in case. also the word 'Hell' at the beginning. ♢ Prompt ♢ The world as you knew it has gone to hell. It started around 2084, when the invasion first began. Creatures, which called themselves the Moraphel, had descended. Humanity didn't expect to be suddenly attacked though. The creatures weren't in any real form, but went about absorbing humans, animals... anything living was taken. The things then just grew after each death, another limb, a mouth.. *And, so far.... Humanity was losing. Explosives and artillery did nothing to them, and they simply absorbed any strikes. Burning them seemed to work, but it only slowed them down. Governments collapsed. First Tokyo, then New York. Striking our most populated areas, breaking down any mobilization. The Moraphel didn't talk or demand: they killed. (little prompt to get one started. I didn't use it though.) You... are a survivor. You have managed to get away from most of the carnage... but your luck won't last long. ✏︎ Response #1 Azura was sitting in a room deep underground, at least 5 miles underground from sea level. If one were to go straight up from her spot, the first time you would meet air would be at the top of a massive mountain in a large mountain range. Of course, this wasn't made by herself, or some old place discovered recently. The entire facility was actually quite new. And the director who orchestrated it all? Azura. She and a few thousand survivors had gathered together to build it, from nuclear power plant workers working on creating an almost infinite energy source that could last centuries if maintained, and defenses that repelled almost everything they have seen used on the surface. Not only that, but they used geothermal vents to stay warm, since deep underground it was frigid, being under -150 degrees celcius. The entire facility stretched miles in every direction, each separated into different sectors, which were then separated into blocks that could each individually be self sufficient, and automatically be quarantined if something breached. Each block was also a special network of 'rails', high tech that Azura herself worked on and invented. Each block could move by itself in all four cardinal directions, as well as up and down, like some complicated 3d puzzle. There were backup systems for the backup systems, and a web of fail-safes so complicated that everything was connected back to something else, each one on a different network that could be shut down individually if there was a cyber attack. With literally everything they needed, and even thousands of species in their own recreated climates and ecosystems each a mile in diameter, it was essentially, a version of the earth inside the earth. Not only that, it was completely sealed. There was only a single tunnel that led to the surface, secured by hundreds of bulkheads and checkpoints, able to break up and self-destruct if something somehow broke through. A few expeditions were sent out every two months, to bring back survivors and more species back in, as well as supplies that are harder to get, like seeds and minerals that are typically only found on the surface. Not only that, but well... the simple distance from the surface, along with an entry point that always changed every week, it was well... pretty much the perfect bunker. And how did a bunch of people, not even a percent of the population, suddenly make it possible, and even created? Well, it was human adaptability. Azura knew it well: throughout history, it was proven time and time again through wars and sudden disasters, that humans developed best when in danger. When the world wars occurred, the enemy took the other's weaponry and technology, then adapted it for their own use, bettered it, then used it themselves. That was exactly what happened here. By taking technology that was left behind, observing with scouts, and gathering data... They had improved upon not only Malvorian technology, but even Vexian. Then, after improved and studied, the new tech was integrated into the compound, after being data wiped several thousand times to prevent anything malicious getting through. The name of the compound? The Sole Hope. Though it was sometimes called by residents as 'The Fortress', 'Sol'. But the most popular and well known name was 'Azura's Machine'.
(Prompt 1 cont.) Azura didn't even glance up as she felt a faint rumbling beneath her. Her block, which was the primary 'heart' of the compound, moved more often than most others. Not that she designed it like that, but people convinced her to make it like that, so it would move every hour. People wanted her safe, and so voted to put it like that, and that her block was either near or even in the center and protected by other blocks, or at the very bottom, where it would be the last to be found. (kinda open ended, ig?) ✏︎ Response #2 Azura was walking through the jungle. It wasn't just any jungle though... It was the Amazon Rainforest. So far, she has been living here pretty well, despite the not-so-obviously dangerous environment. Azura was 23, and had been training to be an explorer, so she could eventually join expeditions into the rainforest. It was ironic in a way, that the deadly place had become her haven for safety. Because of all the hidden dangers, the Vexians haven't managed to make it far without being killed. She knew, because she has seen a few of their corpses a few hours into the edge of the jungle while she was exploring. And because no one has been recorded to actively live in the place, the Malvorians haven't gotten around to this place yet. Azura was wearing her protective gear, picking her way through the branches. She was always aware of her environment, especially when she was this high up in the trees. She was heading towards the edge of the jungle, so she could try and get a read on the surroundings. She wore green camo gear, a black mask covering her nose and mouth, thick black gloves that had a textured palm so her dexterity wasn't affected too much. Her black boots were tall and went under her pants, and everything was carefully sealed. Her hair was in a wolf cut, and well cared for as well. Her pack was strapped tightly to her back with all her gear, and she had a few blades in case something tried to attack her, all hidden and secured on her person. Her most precious possession, a map of the rainforest that she was making herself, was carefully folded and protected in a waterproof and dry tube, which was slung across her chest. Azura carefully stepped onto another branch, using the trunk of the massive tree to keep herself stable. She then glanced up, where beyond trees were smaller, and the jungle ended. She searched the area with her keen eyes, noticing a disturbance near the treeline. She dropped down a few feet onto a lower branch, then swung down to the lowest branches, which were only about four feet from the forest floor. Azura didn't drop down further though, since she knew better than to walk directly on the ground. Walking across branches with the normal stride of someone who was just having a normal stroll down a street, and not across branches that bend slightly under her weight, with stepping on the wrong one meaning she falls through. But Azura knew what she was doing, and didn't worry too much about it. She finally got near the area she had spied the disturbance, and blinked once, then back away into a thick-leaved bush, blending in as she became tense as she saw what was causing the commotion. (open ended for another person to respond if wanted)
