-Chapter 5 in which you cant function You awake with a start, no memory of falling asleep. But you don’t really care because you feel less angry at the door. The door that is still behind you. But the room is a whole lot smaller. Only two steps from each side. TWO STEPS? TWO STEPS? you barely have room to lie down, and if you wanted to you would have to curl up into a tiny little ball. You barely even have room to breathe! You try to stand up, but you hit your head on the ceiling before you can even straighten your legs. This can't be happening. You slowly fall back to your sitting position, knees tightly to your chest, arms wrapped around them. As you try to contemplate what is happening you begin to rock back and forth. Back, and forth. Back, and forth. Over, and over, and over, until your legs are sore. You just can’t accept this. You can’t. Is there really no way to get out of the room? You feel like you have been trapped in here for an eternity. You try the door again. Pulling, and pushing, and pounding, and begging, and sobbing. You must be going insane! “WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?!” You sob, fists still on the door. “WHY CAN'T I LEAVE? WHY CAN'T I GET OUT IF HERE?? I CANT….” your voice trails off “…I can't do this anymore, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t.” Hysterical tears run down your cheeks. Then the room goes black, again. This time for a few seconds. You look up from where you were sitting with your face in your palms, and look around. Nothing has changed, except now, there’s a sign on the door “open me” it says. “IVE TRIED” you ye in frustration “don’t you get it? I’ve tried, you stupid door. Stop egging me on.” But your curiosity gets the best of you and you start debating with yourself… back, and forth, until you decide it’s worth a shot, even though you know the door won’t open. But this time, it does. Only to lead to… another room. “NOOOOOO” you scream “NO. I CAN NOT, I CAN NOT-“ your voice cracks, and you are unable to speak. You are helpless. There’s nothing you can do, you are worthless. You shrivel up on the floor and pull your knees into your chest. “You are a shriveled up ball of worthlessness” you whisper to yourself. “Just make it stop, please…” your voice barely audible as you drift off….. Dead. You are now dead. Death from insanity. Hah! Who’d have thought. Such a curious thing. But you don’t care, you are free, you are free…
-Chapter 5.5 The ending. Oh yes, for sure. They lasted much longer than the last one did, poor thing. Hmm? Oh yes of course they deserved it. Killed around 50 men in their lifetime. They claimed “I’d rather go insane than die!” So we gave them their wish. They got to go insane, and die! Marvelous thing isn’t it. Mastermind serial killer they were. The way their brain worked, almost like clockwork. Of course. Yes, we took all of their memories before locking them in. They would never have agreed to it otherwise. Anyways, yes, I’ll be waiting. The body is still fresh so it won’t be hard for you to dispose of. Haha! Yes, funny business, it is. Being part of this association. The police give us murders, and we get to murder them. How ironic. Mhm, yes, well goodbye then. See you soon. The end. thank you for reading my short story that was also an English assignment. I hope you also went insane. <3
