*shoves hand-drawn digital art down ur throat* I LOVE HIM SUFISHDJAFKFJE || LORE pt. 2 || [ IT'S KINDA LONG-] Sayori Ndogo, otherwise known as Milk Dud, is the ruler of the planet Cozmo is brought to. He, despite being a literal god, is rather childlike, and not at all what Cozmo expected. Cozmo is rather offput but the un-regal manner of this cosmic being and his excited, hushed questions. ___________________ "Here you are." Kohg croaked, the gears in his throat grinding with each word. Cozmo winced a little. Kohg, as unsettling as he looked, was quite the gentleman. He had been designated as Cozmo's caretaker ever since they had rescued him from the space shuttle, and Kohg had been doing a great job, in Cozmo's opinion. Cozmo thanked the odd mechanical cat for leading him to the "palace", which wasn't anything Cozmo expected. It was giant and earthy, like an anthill, covered in bright, lush moss and sleeping creatures. Cozmo frowned. This god of theirs lived in a glorified anthill? He could only imagine a huge, ant-like animal waiting for him inside. Oh how wrong he was. As he stalked through the winding tunnels of the palace, his metal paw pads clicking against the crystal floor, he pondered how he'd approach this cosmic being he was on his way to see. He'd probably bow, greet him formally, like he expected anyone to greet a god. Next, he wondered about the being's apperance, though he doubted anything he came up with would be accurate. Lost in thought, Cozmo nearly ran into a large crystal door. He yelped and leapt back, his tail bristling. He heard a chuckle and turned. Two guards sat on both sides of the doors, wearing thick, crystal armor and helmets, helmets that did not hide their grinning muzzles. Cozmo felt a wave of hot embarrassment wash over him, and he shook himself to hopefully smooth his ruffled fur. "Uh- I'm here to see the... king? Leader?" Cozmo said hesitantly. One of the guards quickly dropped his grin and nodded. As the creature stood - Cozmo couldn't tell what species - he realized with a start that it wasn't the armor made of crystal. It was the creature itself. This guard was a pretty pale, yellow green. Peridot, maybe, Cozmo wondered. The guard placed a thick, taloned paw on the door, and a soft chime rang out through the hall. Cozmo watched as the thick doors slid soundlessly over the floor, opening into a large, glowing chamber. He didn't have normal eyes anymore, not visible at least, but on instinct, he squinted anyway. His visor darkened, and the blinding light of the cavern dimmed. He was amazed for a moment, before he realized he was standing there like a fool. Not wanting to earn more condescending giggles from anybody else, Cozmo raised his chin and padded forward and into the large chamber. Creatures of all colors, shapes, and sizes, poked their heads out of crystal caves in the walls, all watching him and murmuring curiously. As awkward Cozmo felt under all the strange eyes, he kept his head high and padded forward, his limbs steady and steps rhythmic. In the back of the cavern, directly in the path of the doors, was a large, blue crystal throne. It was empty. Cozmo paused close to the center of the cave, standing in a carved-out circle. His paws clinked nervously as he shuffled, seating himself down and curling his tail in front of him. It was rather long for a dog tail, but then again, Cozmo wasn't exactly a dog anymore, was he? Sighing, he waited, listening to every whisper, every murmur. Feeling the curious, uneasy air around him, the eyes burning into his pelt. 'This guy summons me here and makes me wait? What kind of-' Out of nowhere, a greenish-blue shape bursts in front of him in a cloud of purple stars. Six, bright yellow eyes stared into Cozmo's visor, its child-like face beaming with an even brighter smile. Cozmo flinched. "Why, hello there, new guy!" The creature giggled. Now with a clearer look, Cozmo saw the cat features of this creature. The shorter muzzle, the smaller ears and nose, and the agile body, which was curled almost impossibly in half mid-air. Its tail was ringed almost similarly to his own, except this creature's rings weren't attached, and their glowed with a mysterious aura. On its flank, a double-ringed planet pattern glowed brightly, seeming to glow with the creature's excitement. The purple bat-like wings at its side didn't flap to keep it afloat, acting like extra, motioning appendages instead. It's odd, gradient paws crossed under its chin as it beamed wider. "I am Sayori Ndogo, creator and leader of the planet Nxoki. But you can call me Milk Dud!" His voice matched his appearance, but certainly not his childlike charm. "I heard you're a rescue from Earth, they said?" Cozmo nodded. "Wowie! You're the first from Earth! From what we've gathered, Earth REALLY likes their animals. There was one other dog they sent years ago, she was a sweetheart-" [v Continues below v]
[ CONT ] "-but never mind that, let's focus on you!" Cozmo watched as the cat swirled around him, all six eyes watching him, examining him. Cozmo stiffened, fighting the urge to shuffle and move. "Wowie, you look pretty cool!" Milk Dud finally chirped, floating back in front of Cozmo. "So, friend, what's your name?" "Cozmo, your highness," He said, dipping his head. "I thank you and your people for saving my life and giving me a place here. I am in great debt." Milk Dud snorted in laughter, and Cozmo looked back up, confused. "Oh, no need for pleasantries, Cozmo. It makes me feel awkward and regal. As you can tell, I am anything but!" He swirled in the air, giggling. Milk Dud landed on the ground in front of Cozmo, now looking up at the dog with a smile. "How do you like Nxoki so far? Has Kohg treated you well?" Cozmo nodded, slightly baffled by the fast subject changes. "Y-Yes, Nxoki is a lovely place. It's somewhat similar to Earth, except it's healthier and... stranger. And Kohg has been a wonderful keeper. He really is quite sweet." Milk Dud chuckled. "Isn't he? He used to belong to a different, much more gruesome planet. He was in very bad shape when I found him, so I put him back together with a bit of screws and cogs, and he was good as new! He's a kind soul, he is, it's a shame his planet couldn't see that." Cozmo felt a pang of pity for his caretaker. Kohg seemed so happy and at peace, not haunted with his past. But he guessed it was because he had found a more welcoming home here. At least here they didn't tear you apart, or send you into space in a glorified metal box- "Oh, star sprites, I have to go-" Milk Dud hissed, turning his head back to Cozmo. Milk Dud took Cozmo's paw in his and smiled. "Me and you will have to become better friends another time. It seems my brother is causing another fuss outside our orbit. But it was lovely meeting you, Cozmo, and I hope you'll find your new home here!" And with that and a friendly smile, Milk Dud was gone. Cozmo sat there, baffled and confused, looking down at his paw. After a long moment, he shrugged and stood to make his way out. After taking an embarrassingly long time to find his way out, Cozmo stepped back onto the soft, grassy plains of Nxoki. Kohg was waiting by a fruit tree, standing up with a loud mechanic creak when he saw Cozmo. Reaching him, Kohg smiled. "So? What'd you think?" Cozmo exhaled. "Nothing at all like I expected. For a god, he seems really childish. In a weirdly good way, though." Kohg chuckled. "Yes, he is rather flamboyant, isn't he? He has stated he is the youngest of his family, and he's about 1,000 years old, give or take?" Kohg laughed as Cozmo's jaw dropped. "I had the same reaction when I found out." Cozmo shook his head and smiled. "Crazy. Amazing, but crazy." He breathed. He looked around for a moment, taking in the beautiful scenery. Winged creatures soaring in the nebula sky, their colors flashing like neon lights in a city. The trees and their fruit glowed, acting like streetlamps, animals of all sorts all cozy and curled underneath. Cozmo smiled a little. Kohg smiled as well and bumped his metal flank against Cozmo's. "Well, we still got a couple of hours before it's time to rest." He said, motioning a paw to a dull sun in the distance, setting slowly. "How about we go explore a bit?" Cozmo turned to Kohg and smiled. "Sounds good to me." [ END ] ow my fingers- Art: (2nd image) All me, made on procreate.
