This contains heavy mention of death and destruction ~ prey and hunger ~ when going on patrol / hunting, you will catch prey, which is brought back to the clan. Each cat eats prey as following. Elders - 0.5 pieces of prey Kits - 0.5 pieces of prey Queens - 1 piece of prey Warriors/Adults - 0.5 pieces of prey Apprentices - 0.5 pieces of prey So for example, there is 5 pieces of prey on the pile, and there is one of each rank above, then 3 pieces of prey would be consumed. Prey can also go bad. After a moon, prey turns into crow-food. If crow-food is not disposed of, every cat in the clan is at risk of sickness. ~ herbs and injuries ~ The medicine cat needs herbs for different injuries. Feel free to google what heals what if needed. The medicine cat or an herb patrol can go out and look for those herbs. If they do not grow in the Everglades, just pretend they do. Injuries need to be treated within a moon, or they will become infected, leading to sickness. ~ natural disasters ~ Florida is known for having natural disasters. (Please correct me if I’m wrong!!) Floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. if these events happen, it will probably leave a lot of cats dead. But they don’t happen often. ~ predators ~ There is one thing Everglades NP is known for. Gators. There is a mass extinction event I have where gators or crocodiles attack the camp, which is deadly if your cat is attacked. You can fight back though. Pythons, hawks, and even panthers are also predators you could encounter. ~ chances ~ So, let’s say your cat has caught an illness from something, but it was not treated. If your cat is an adult, there is a 20% risk of death If your cat is an apprentice, there is a 30% risk of death If your cat is a kit, there is a 40% risk of death If your cat is an elder, there is a 50% risk of death. If your cat is an elder over 100 moons, there is a 60% risk of death. What about if a natural disaster hits? I don’t do it based off of age, I do it based off of the who is where. If a cat is on patrol, there is a 40% chance of death If your cat is in camp, there is a 20% chance of death (unless it’s a flood, then it’s a 60%) If your cat is underground, it’s a 10% (unless it’s a flood, that’s a 70%) If your cat is somewhere else, tell me, and I’ll add it to the list and add chances. Please ask any questions you have, I will answer them!!
oh, wanna join this wcrp? https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1243327883/ - early signups :3 Side note: if your cat is inactive for 2 moons, they will be diagnosed with a specific virus called Ferncough. If not treated within a moon, it will kill your character. It does not require herbs, just a check-in.
