I've been curating gaehive for about 3 months with this account, but I've been chatting regularly since around 2023. I live in the WILD WEST YEEHAW and my timezone is MST/MDT. I'm 16 and I'm usually online between 6:45 AM and 4:00 PM. ----- whagt do I title this section ----- I think I would be a good manager because I tend to believe the best in everyone. It can get me into situations, but without fail I am always willing to give people another chance. I don't have it in me to blindly hate people for what they've done in the past, especially if they've proven they've changed. In addition, I am online a lot. I also have a strong sense of justice, and am willing to fight for what I believe is morally right no matter the consequences. edit: i also have experience such as being a moderator for the plural party community on tumblr, which has a little over 3 thousand members. It should be noted that I tend to be self-conscious to the point of seeking validation often. I tend to take things personally and don't always take well to criticism. I also get in trouble sometimes which would limit my ability to be online. I am also usually somewhat inactive over the summer. I can be blunt or insensitive unintentionally sometimes, though I'll apologize if called out on it. ----- why I want to be manager ----- There are several reasons, but the big one is that I enjoy chatting on the gaehive. It provides such a wonderful community, even if it has its flaws. I've felt so much less alone since I found it, and I want to help however I can. Additionally, I think being manager would teach me to be more responsible, which I have admittedly struggled with in several areas of my life. ----- what sets me apart ----- I'm plural and chronically ill, which I know applies to at least one other person who's applying but shhhhhh. I have some experience in leadership positions via some activities I was part of in middle school. I am willing to listen to both sides of an argument regardless of my original view on the matter. ----- what i'd like to improve ----- If I became manager I would like to work on reworking rule 6. While it does its job in its current form, it sometimes ends up being unfair. (yes i changed this part to remove the rant sorry) ----- what it entails ----- as far as I'm aware, the main things being a manager would require would be enforcing the rules and keeping the studio a safe space for everyone. Additional things might include contacting ST for issues and helping individual or groups of hive members with whatever needs helping. I'm bad at words but ykwim ----- reccomendations ----- - I see Matt pretty much every single day that I chat on the hive. I've only seen good things from them. Like ever. - I also see Taph on the hive nearly every day. He's very level-headed from what I've seen, and they're very good at holding civilized discussions. He's also super honest, which is something I myself could be better at lol.
