let’s go gambling if we can get, like, 25 wins with the Exorcist before March (03/01/26) I’ll cook up something special like a special trinket or trophy or smth @bentshaggyoil for some artwork and help with the gode @quatrz56 for nothing and making my life substantially worse (my wife left him) @griffpatch for giving me the project "Taco Burp" and then stealing my money and my house Note: Proof of concept demo, very early alpha, everything is subject to change, yadda yadda, basically, this isn’t done yet. This is just a basic version that probably works to try and get a bit of info on what’s working and what isn’t. Don’t expect everything or, really anything at all, to stay the same as this is, once again, just an alpha phase for testing. Here’s what’s coming next (hopefully)! - a slot machine that looks like a slot machine - less clunky movement between screens and stuff - slot machine customization (with gameplay effects to really enhance your build!) - more trinkets - one-time use items - cards that can manipulate the pools permanently - achievements - a progression system based on achievements - a better, upgradable shop
0.1: base thing, no money, scoring, rerolling, shop, anything. 0.2: added scoring, money gain, and rolling pool 0.3: added a rolling button (very important) 0.4: added a score screen to check your scores 0.5: added a screen for trinkets (when I fully add them), a way to choose a starting trinket, and the first functioning trinket, the cross 0.6: added in choosing a starting trinket to build your run around, as well as added the trinkets themselves. 0.7: all the starting trinkets have been reworked from their original forms, function properly, and have actual effects on the game. 0.8: shop changing, purchasing, and selling now functions properly. 0.9: all trinkets in base game function as intended (I hope) 1.0: everything should, hopefully, work properly. Balancing hasn’t been done yet, and will be if needed in the future. 1.0.1: fixed unintelligent 1.0.2: this begins a small series of buffs, nerfs, and reworks + Squbic no longer affects prices + Squbic has a small chance of replacing all 1 and 4 in the pool with 5 instead of 0 - changed “Interest” from causing to you lose twice as much money from all sources to slowly draining your money by up to 25% 1.0.3: changed shape artwork with the new pretty art from (it’s genuinely perfection my man) + made “Vampirism”’s small buff become a permanent stacking effect + quadrupled the chance for “Squbic”’s replacing ability to proc (1/100 > 1/25) 1.0.4: a bunch of bug fixes, QOL stuff, and generally making things more enjoyable. 1.0.5: added a couple of new trinkets (on the much rarer side) + fixed “Polarity Audit” (I think) 1.0.6: added “Weeds”, “Dark Vessel” 1.1.6: added Jackmerius Tacktheritrix II (shopkeeper dude) + added a new effect for “Cross” - “Vampirism” causes money to drain 1.1.7: made betting a lot better, also made it percentages instead of dollars, also nerfed betting AGAIN 1.1.8: long awaited “costume1” nerf, made it only trigger if you got money from something that roll 1.2.8: changed the introduction from a trinket to more of a class-like thing + gave "Lucky Charm" a big extra bonus plus-side 1.2.9: a bunch a small stuff + a hand for Jackmerius + bug fixes + updated descriptions for the roles - more changes to the betting. again. 1.3.9: made the exorcist… unique. (the exorcist features it’s own special gimmick: each turn and technically at the start of the game, you need to find which room is being possessed and use your cross to drive it away. Failure to do so in between rolls or choosing the wrong room results in a game over.) (Also added in first official win screen, obtained with the Exorcist) 1.3.10: changed “Green Thumb” to nullify BLUE instead of PURPLE to fit the starting text a bit more. + fixed “Squbic” and buffed it again (1/25 > 1/10) 1.3.11: did some small fixes, changed the value of Mythicals (5,000$ > 25,000$), and added a new rare trinket; “Six-Sided Dice”, which increases the likelihood of most luck-based activation effects. also added a nifty and convenient price in the viewing of a trinket’s description. 1.4.11: added a second and third purchasable upgrades to the shop, one being a second buyable trinket and the other being a soon-to-be-implemented system involving cards that affect the rolling pool permanently.
