Scratchfield Presidential Elections! Scratchfield is holding its first ever Presidential Election, so this is how citizens (followers) can run for President or vote for who they want to lead the city ---------------HOW TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT--------------- -To become a candidate, comment: --“I’m running! My policy: (your idea for Scratchfield)” -Your policy must be about improving Scratchfield (examples: new buildings, decorations, events), while also including what you want our city to focus on --(examples: expanding, improving current buildings/areas, beautifying). --------------------------HOW TO VOTE-------------------------- -Two days after the election is announced, the ballot will appear in the project. -To vote, comment the name of the candidate you want to win. One vote per citizen please! -Votes will be counted publicly for transparency. -----------------------ELECTION RULES----------------------- -Candidates must have a short policy (city improvement idea and Scratchfield's focus) -Voting happens in comments -The winner becomes President of Scratchfield (for two weeks) -The runner-up becomes Vice President -Presidents serve for 2 weeks, then a new election happens ----------------POWERS OF THE PRESIDENT--------------- The President of Scratchfield has special powers to help shape the city: 1. Choose the Next Building Added to the City -They decide one new building, landmark, or improvement. 2. Approve or Veto One City Poll -If a poll is held, the President can approve or veto the result once per term. 3. Propose Future City Additions -They may suggest decorations, events, NPCs, or expansions. 4. Help Choose Where New Citizens’ Houses Go -The President can choose how the neighborhoods expand. 5. Create One Temporary City Rule (Cosmetic Only) -Examples: Everyone gets flowers on their house City sky stays night for one update 6. Receive a Special Presidential Building -The President gets a unique landmark or office representing their leadership. ------------------WHAT WINNING MEANS-------------------- The President gets: -Their own building -The ability to guide Scratchfield’s growth -Special recognition in the project -A place in Scratchfield history
