Feather ended up having a good laugh about... everything. It felt so good to just laugh for no reason sometimes, especially after, like, five months of just being completely ignored by Lav. Tori had pretty much collapsed from laughter, sprawled out over Feather's lap. Their pale gray face was quickly turning a light shade of pink from laughing so hard. But everything quickly stopped the second Lav stepped in the room. Feather abruptly stopped laughing, his face falling while Lav's scowl only seemed to get deeper. "I need to talk to Tori," Lav droned, gesturing harshly at the shaking mass in Feather's lap. Tori was still very much laughing, though the sound was slowly getting quieter and quieter until it fell silent completely. Tori rolled over so she was laying on her stomach, her chest pressed up against Feather's thighs. "Me? Why?" she asked, tilting her head innocently. Lav's glare only seemed to get sharper. "Just come on," Lav barked, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Jeezus, fine." Tori got up and sauntered over to Lav, who roughly grabbed her wrist and tugged her into the other room, earning a surprised yelp from her. "Calm down!" Lav seemed to ignore her as he stormed into the other room. His heavy steps slowed to a stop, and Feather could hear his hushed voice, and even through the wall, Feather could hear how sharp Lav's tone was. Tori squeaked, then screeched. "What the ####?!" she screamed, the noise making Feather jump. Tori didn't come back. Feather was pretty sure that Lav was still talking to her. Now in his room, Feather was slouched on his bed, scrolling absentmindedly on his phone. He'd spaced out for a while, maybe a few hours. There had been a whole commotion downstairs, but Feather didn't feel like getting up to see what was going on. That is, until Tori burst into his room, panting heavily. "Feather! Get up!" He quickly got to his feet, confused, but rushed over to her. "What is it? Are you hurt?" "No, I'm fine, but there's something you really, REALLY need to see." "What?" "Just c'mon!" Tori grabbed his hand and dragged him out of his room, rushing him down the stairs. "Where are we going?" Feather hissed as Tori tugged him toward the living room. He didn't get a response. She stopped at the doorway, her normally harsh expression melting into something softer. Feather followed her gaze to the couch, his heart seeming to just stop as he realized... "Searchlight?"
