Your goal is to prevent all the grass from being burned and not get too hot. Use the arrow keys to move around and space to eat. Fire can't spread over eaten grass, so try to keep it fenced in. Be careful, though, as if your heat bar on the left gets too high from standing in fire or on burnt tiles, you lose. You can cool off in the water.
In California, wildfires are becoming increasingly common. Every year, more and more land is destroyed. In 2020 alone, over 4 million acres of land were burned in California. This causes huge economic damage and is incredibly traumatizing for the people involved. One of the key ways to prevent wildfires is to clear combustible vegetation. You may often see piles of sticks or dark patches in the woods. These are from controlled burns, where workers collect dead wood and burn it very carefully so as not to start a wildfire. Even a small amount of clearing can greatly slow down the spread of fires, allowing firefighters to get in time or to completely stop the fires before they spread. You can help too! One of the simplest ways you can help prevent fires is by not starting them. 85% of wildfires worldwide are caused by humans. Extinguishing campfires, leaving large inflammable zones around burn piles, and safely disposing of smoking materials would greatly reduce wildfire numbers. Another thing you can do is leave a zone clear of combustible vegetation around your house. The first 5 feet should be entirely inflammable, like gravel or stone. After that, wet and green plants like grass for thirty feet. If you have trees on your property, aiming to maintain at least 10 feet between them can help slow fires.
