This is a test for the platforming engine I'm working on. The sprites aren't animated, but there is a solid engine and there's fog. I haven't gone into detail on sprites since I don't intend to use these specific sprites in any future projects. Click the "L" button to enable/disable fog. ***UPDATE!!!*** Log: 12/7/16 Tweaked the bug 12/6/16 Added a little tracer that (tries) to follow the character. I'm not sure what I'll do with this... maybe it can be nerfed for an enemy AI? It's a bug now 12/5/16 Did some nerfing on the speed token Made the fog slightly more transparent- no, the character/chest/speedtoken/NPC is not in front of the fog, it's just not very thick fog. 12/3/16 Added the first test NPC 12/2/16 Added Music Fixed the character and coin being in front of the fog 12/1/16 Added a death counter. It's not clickable... yet. Added a coin that speeds you up a pseudo-random amount, changes your color slightly, and has a one in one thousand chance of reappearing every time it (would) change it's sprite. 11/30/16 Added Levels (The design is questionable) Changed the fog button to the little square-shaped L button Added a chest to Level 2 Added Character Selection Added a thumbnail to make it marginally more approachable.
I made the engine using Griffpatch's tutorial. Anything that isn't explained in there is original code. Original sprites. Music: (Please correct me if I'm wrong) Windfall (TheFatRat, Tasty Records) Special Thanks: @Nue_Houjuu for looking at my project (sometimes) and giving me (maybe) helpful advice.
