According to any personality test he takes, he definitely leans towards the introverted end of the spectrum, yet he has many, many good friends and wouldn't consider himself shy at all. When he was younger, his mother was a freelance architect who got hired for jobs all over the country, so his family moved around a lot. Because of this, Nat got really good at making lasting friendships in a short period of time and maintaining long-distance friendships, and when he left home for college, he found that he had friends everywhere, and was making more. Nat feels uncomfortable in crowded, loud settings like parties and dances, and absolutely cannot stand flashing lights or dubstep. He gets forced into more of these situations than he would like, though, because many people assume he is an extrovert and don't think twice about inviting him to parties, and Nat hasn't yet found a polite way to refuse them. Although he loves his friends dearly, sometimes he just wants to curl up in his room with a cup of tea and a good book. Nat does identify as introverted, and sometimes feels like a "bad introvert" because he's so social, but can't do anything about because changing his personality to fit with a societal categorization seems wrong to him. He is still a little confused about some aspects of his identity, and is trying to find out who he is, so to speak.
