idk spam the flag read the backstory of this thing below!!! This animatic is about Rubystorm(my WC oc) and her former apprentice, Gracewing(my friend DULC's WC oc). Both of these cats are from a roleplay called RubyClan's Storm, where Rubystorm(Rubykit at the time) and her Clan - and her mother, Lilyleaf - get separated by a rebuilt BloodClan, lead by Shadowclaw and her brother and deputy, Sharpclaw. Rubykit finds that there are other abandoned kits that need help, discovering a tom named Goldenkit. Together, Ruby and Golden start a clan called KitClan; Goldenkit found KitClan's camp, near a Moonpool-like thing used to communicate with StarClan. Rubykit becomes the leader of KitClan, since she is the one who started it, and Goldenkit becomes the deputy. The third kit who joins is their (future) med cat, Gemkit. Soon more kits join the Clan(these are all oc's of my friends', so don't blame me if they have weird names): Catkit, Candykit, Butterkit, Oceankit, Pumpkinkit. Catkit and Candykit sneak off from camp, finding Gracekit but also running into Sharpclaw, leading to their(Catkit and Candykit) deaths. Ruby finds Gracekit and manage to escape with both of them alive. As the kits grow up with the help and guidance of StarClan, they earn their warrior names - Rubystorm, Goldenrod, Gemleaf, Butterscotch, Oceanwave, Pumpkinleap, and Gracewing. BloodClan attacks once again, and Rubystorm fails to deal with it well, resulting in KitClan's anger. Goldenrod, Oceanwave, Butterscotch, and Pumpkinleap rebel against Rubystorm, and Ruby exiles the four. Gracewing did not join the rebellion, but leaves KitClan by choice, tired of fighting with Ruby. Some time passes. Goldenrod returns to KitClan, but Ocean, Butter, Pumpkin, and Grace do not. Rubystorm sets off to search for Gracewing, since she used to be Ruby's apprentice and they were close friends. Ruby does not find Grace but instead finds Destinystar, the leader of another clan(Destiny is DULC's oc) and Gracewing's mother. Destiny tells Ruby that Grace had passed on to StarClan after drowning in the Lily River. Resentful and devastated, Ruby takes her anger out on Destiny, and they have a fight. They do not resolve the issue before Sharpclaw and Shadowclaw show up with BloodClan. Sharpclaw reveals that he had mated with Lilyleaf to have Rubystorm, and that he'd also fathered Goldenrod by another cat. Then, some more stuff happens, but I ran out of time, so I'm not going to type it here. That took so long to type :P This animatic was super fun to make! I'm kind of developing a new art style, and I wanted to do an animation-ish kind of thing with that style, but I didn't have much time to do stuff like this. I got inspired to do a kind of unfinished-style thing, which is what I did for this. honestly this doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, and it's also a lot faster than how I usually animate, so I might be making a complete animatic with the whole song. do you think I should? tell me in comments. congrats for getting this far. I might use this lil animation for one of the contests in PI lol
