Click on the sidebar to see settings and other information How they move Pawn - Moves 2 spaces forward only if it hasn't moved; otherwise, it moves 1 space forward only; captures 1 square diagonally Rook - Moves any number of spaces horizontally and vertically; can't jump over pieces Knight - Moves in an L shape; can jump over pieces Bishop - Moves any number of spaces diagonally; can't jump over pieces Queen - Moves any number of spaces horizontally and vertically AND any number of spaces diagonally; can't jump over pieces King - Moves 1 square in any direction; can't jump over pieces; can't be 1 square next to another other King
