A time during around the later years of the Cold War, in the trenches of the Pacific ring of fire, something near japan was detected to be abnormally heating up, it was no undersea volcano or a hydrothermal vent, it was oddly.. organic, a basket of bright red flesh deep underwater, it was odd, it was attempted to be warned, but political tensions around these times would cover up the situation. Soviet missions would notice the organic growths rapidly growing and thriving around the trenches due to the intense heat, a whole on ecosystem, they were even supporting other marine organisms that would have not survived down here for the scarcity of food, even creating new organisms derived from the flesh with their shapes inspired by the organisms we know about, the flesh was launched here somehow... it was seemingly even keeping alive organisms long since thought to be extinct. A seemingly living organism resembling the pre-cambrian "Dickinsonia" that was a head-scratcher for years would be discovered around South Australia, scientists were puzzled, but not easily deceived, DNA studies would result in the discovery that this flesh was much closer to the ones of mammals, simply taking the shape of a prehistoric animal(?), one individual would link this back to the "Trench Flesh" phenomenon that the Soviet Union tried to confiscate as hard as possible but also as a way for them to study it themselves, but it turns out this flesh was not just around in the trenches anymore, it was very quick, a possibility of this thing resembling the ancient organism was that it mimicked fossils, it was no Dickinsonia, but this would result in an even stranger discovery, the organism had sprouts of hair eerily similar to the ones of humans, DNA tests showed that this was possibly derived from ancient civilizations in Asia, but this was heavily disputed. The Soviet Union would notice the discovery of the Dickinsonia-shaped organism, more were found around the philippines resembling organisms from similar time periods, even ones from the Cambrian explosion in trenches deeper than anything possible, perhaps the flesh was digging through attracted to the inner layers of the earth, their surprisingly complex neurons thrived in intense heat and bore Trenches much greater than the Marina, governments would scramble but also see this as an opportunity to assist with undersea mining, insane concepts of semi-organic controlled flesh machines were drawn and eventually.. realized. massive drilling machines were built underwater to serve as building new trenches, new islands, new geological anomalies formed by the flesh assisting the Soviets, eventually, a home for the flesh was built as humanity somewhat started to belove the strange new flesh like no other, some were brought above water and even adapted to lower pressure environments without much decompression, this flesh was very malleable, something humans weren't fully aware of, especially an organism compromised of vaguely familiar DNA. The resulting "homes" for these fleshy friends took the shapes of massive jungle-like metal structures entirely incased from the outside world, fueled with electricity to heat up things, built across millions of square miles underground, from Asia, to the Middle East, to underwater in Oceania, even a particular hotspot in the thriving Country of Japan, because literally everyone loves Japan, even strange malleable fleshy organisms. They would take on new shapes resembling more land organisms over underwater organisms, some prehistoric, some modern, most turned to plant and fungal shapes over animals, it was several eerie jungles made of flesh, metal and electricity, old human technology were thrown in too, like trains to learn transportation for the flesh, and structures resembling kilometers worth of upscaled eerie Soviet Playgrounds. They were given a surprisingly high status as organisms due to the possibilities of their usage, even introduced to certain homes for Communist Party officials. treated as pets and given food and mechanical augmentations to resemble more day-to day pets like cats or dogs, sometimes even trusted to the point of given the DNA of deceased pets to "revive" them in the flesh birthing somewhat of Chimera-like biomechanical organisms. the latter development would also have limited sales in the general public. it was an absolute surreal nightmare to the eyes of a human, perhaps even just a wastebasket, but a perfect utopia for the fleshy organisms, perhaps humanity should just move here too, what could even go wrong with several nations living in the same place along with these fleshy friends? could it be a utopia for us too? THIS WOULD HAVE DIRE CONSEQUENCES IN THE FOLLOWING YEARS.
(please note this writing is absolutely not good at all, this is more of a test to see how the story could go or improve, I am not very well versed with the subjects of history or geology, please give constructive criticism if possible so I could improve this story in the long-run offsite) (The fleshy creatures are a series of organisms by @Keruyorushikai777 for this version of the story) (image is a crude reconstruction of the possible environment we were locked out of for these fleshy invaders that somehow deserved everything, place was rather dimmer too as the fleshy friends had no visable upon time of discovery and earliest times of thriving with our electricity... a bit too much of it perhaps) (this story will not be recommended for those under 16) (please keep comments on-topic) (music from nes godzilla creepypasta)
