It makes people click on your project! It makes your projects seem more professional. A thumbnail needs a few things on it! The title of your project that relates to the project in a clean font (Tip: No cursive) and some pictures images or background that relate to the project. You can take an image, do a collage or much more. I normally use Canva and it works really well! You can upload it onto the project. Make sure you thumbnail works. These are some examples:
