Scroll down for story! Sorry for disappearing haha... (Emily POV) “Any ideas on how to sort it?” Alix asks. “Not yet.” I say. “I wish,” Tallulah sighs and leans her head on my shoulder. “But she might just be… moving on.” I look down at Tallulah. The usual light in her green eyes is gone, tear marks run down her cheeks, and her fiery hair hangs limply over her pale face. I stroke her hair, brushing it behind her ear. “It’s okay.” I tell her. “You don’t need Lia. You’re amazing, Lullah. Don’t ever let anyone forget it.” She looks up, into my eyes. “Thanks, Em.” Alix silently gets up and leaves the room, and we continue watching whatever’s on the TV. Some property show, I think. I wasn’t really paying attention. An hour later, Tallulah has to leave. “Bye, Lulla.” I smile gently. “Bye.” She waves and walks down the drive. I watch her for a moment, then run out barefoot. “Yeah?” She turns to look at me. “You forgot something, silly.” I glance around, then stand on my tiptoes and kiss her on the cheek. “Alright, see you at school on Tuesday.” “S-see you then,” She stutters, turning back down the path. Looks like I’ve done my job. (Tallulah POV) Get up. Get out of bed, you need to go to school. Stop being lazy. Mum can’t get me up. I curl into a ball under my duvet, shaking as sobs start racking my body. At least it’s not as bad as last night. My parents were so shocked by what I’d done to my hair, they said nothing. Said ‘We’ll talk tomorrow’. Well, tomorrow is here. I can’t go into school and face Lia, not after yesterday. There goes my social life, there go my friends. “Lulu?” June’s voice cuts through my thoughts. I say nothing. “I love your hair,” she says. “It’s so… you.” “Thanks,” I mumble. “I see that you don’t want to go in today,” her tone is soft, gentle, as if she was talking to a baby. “I don’t have any lessons today. I can stay home with you.” I look up, the cool lights blinding me. June is still in her pajamas, her hair tangled and yesterday’s mascara smudged under her green eyes. “I’ll tell Mum that you’re staying home,” she gets up. “You wouldn’t have the time to get ready anyway.”
