Welcome... to the GREAT GARDEN ADVENTURE!!! This has been my largest project EVER, and I am very excited to share it with you! Hope you enjoy it! :D OVERVIEW: The Great Garden Adventure is a scrolling platformer where you control a little flower on a quest to defeat evil ladybug The Insectosorcer and save the mystical Dandelion of Dreams! And this isn't any old scratch platformer where you "jUmp OvER tHE sPikE", this platformer is complete with full-length levels, character abilities and 5 worlds to play through, each complete with 3 unique levels and even a BOSS! CONTROLS: A, D, Right Arrow, Left Arrow - MOVE W, Up Arrow - JUMP S, Down Arrow - DROP DOWN (Through some surfaces) M (while in level) - PAUSE P (while paused) - LEAVE LEVEL P (while in world map) - CREATE SAVE CODE 1, 2, 3 (while in world map) - CHANGE DIFFICULTY STORY: In the land known as the Garr-Den, (better known to you as just a random garden), underneath a great rock, there is a mystical being with the power to grant any wish. It is known as the Dandelion of Dreams. However, after the Dandelion had sat there untouched for so long, an evil ladybug approached it and used it to become the most powerful being in the Garr-Den, the Insectosorcer. To make matters worse, the Insectosorcer then destroyed the Dandelion into many pieces all scattered across the Garr-Den. However, using the last bit of its power, the Dandelion sent a single seed, one that would bring a flower to life as the hero of the Garr-Den and the saviour of the Dandelion of Dreams! Good luck on your quest, hero!
EXTRA CHALLENGES: 1. Try completing the entire game on "Hard" difficulty! In the difficulty, you have a max of 3 lives, but you start each level with only 1, the ultimate challenge! 2. In each level, there is an Invincibility Flower in a block, some are more hidden than others. Can you find the flower in each level? (Not including bosses) CREDITS: A big thank you to griffpatch for the base scrolling platformer engine, this game couldn't exist without it! (Or it would be much lower quality and wouldn't scroll) Apart from the base game engine, all of the code, art and story is made by me, on the Scratch Bitmap Editor. (Including new enemies, bosses, and character designs) I use a lot of different music in this project, from games such as "Kirby's Return to Dreamland", "Paper Mario: The Origami King", and "New Super Mario Bros U", but an extra special thanks to "Tires on Fire" by coda. Also thanks to rubypooch23 (my brother) for testing. If you encounter any bugs, please report them in the comments. Thank you for playing! :D idk how tags work so here goes:
