credit to Darkfur3 Ash stretched his wings and violently jerked himself down so he would tip off the branch. He caught himself just before he hit the ground. All of a sudden a jay flew into him. Ash squawked angrily and hissed "watch where you're going!" The bird pinned him down "Storm! Over here! We got one!" Another jay, smaller than the bigger one, came gliding towards them. He landed raggedly "huh? Oh! We got one?" Ash spat "get off of me you seed-brain!" He sighed and let his body go limp. The jay smiled "nice to meet you, I'm Jay, Jay the blue jay, hah." He let Ash go. Ash got up quickly and stepped away from them "what do you want?" Jay said "me and my son were passing through here...we wondered where we are...so....could you help us?" Ash sighed "you're in Jungle flock territory, I was just leaving and so should you. After all, you don't want to get caught, do you?" He folded his wings. Jay chirped "thank you....hey...would you like to join us?" Storm hissed "dad! We shouldn't let him!" Ash said "depends, where you going?" Jay said "to the Snow flock...wanted to see what it's like out there." Ash chirped "cold. That's what it's like, I'll go with you anyways....haven't been with birds for over a year now that weren't completely hostile." He turned to Storm and glared. Storm narrowed his eyes "fine. But don't expect us to slow our pace for-" Jay lifted a wing, signaling silence "have you seen a jay named Moonshine....?" Ash shook his head "no....haven't...why?" Storm chirped flatly "she's my mother." But Ash could here the wistful tone behind those words, he missed her. Ash said "let's get going."
