( for The Story of Snow by @Frostwing213 ) Feb. 2026 edit: welp Alright, I know it's a bit odd but this is what Brightspot looks like to me! Adjust or refuse however you like, I don't mind lol. ~ DESIGN NOTES wow ~ First thing you'll notice is that she is maroon. Why? I dunno, Brightspot has always been maroon to me. Build: Honestly, like a stereotypical stocky mom, though somewhat taller and more muscular in my opinion. Fluff: Not her most prominent feature but definitely there. She has small ear tufts, and the neck thing was something I kinda just doodled on in the drawing phase but I think it works. Markings: Cream underbelly: Just feels right. It was white in my head but the cream can lead to Birchtail's coloring. Bright spots (lol) and gradients: Might have been more whiteish in my head but this looks better. Also makes sense with her name! Ear interior: Also creamish-white, disregarding biological possibilites for a moment here. Also it was really hard figuring out how to draw them in my style- Eyes: Amber, it feels right. Could make them more brownish to work with Flowersong and Birchtail's eyes. Biological justification: Honestly, it was already difficult to see Flowersong, Stormcloud, and Birchtail as siblings due to contrasting designs. I've tried to make it work here though: Ear tufts and some fluff for Stormcloud, cream coloring, spots, and brownish eyes for Birchtail, and while a few aspects of design do work for Flowersong I'd rather say Brightspot has a recessive calico gene. I've talked too much now, hope this helps in whatever way :D Fun facts: - I tried practicing sketching by drawing this quickly. Didn't really work. - She's a major character in a little AU I have hehehe
