Minimal effort was put into the creation of this project. Please do not expect the same quality of polish that is generally featured in my works. This project was conceived for a personal project; I am likely to use a different text engine, at the least a different font, for my upcoming game The Legend of Zelda RPG, as much as this project seems made for it. Controls: Z - Progress dialogue X (hold) - Speed up dialogue Arrow keys - Choose a selection, when possible I feel the functions are self-explanatory in most aspects, however if you are still inquiring after looking, please comment!
Credits: • @pococikapusta's original project "Paper Mario text engine!" derives the basic printing and text-wrapping logic. • @kirbnomy derives the text width, dialogue progression, and choice logic, as well as other miscellaneous features. • The font used is called "Steelflight," and it is in-use in the video game Shadowrun. • "Animal Village" from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is the song used, and the same source produced the ChuChu sprite used.
