hello and welcome to my Galekit application! let’s jump right in, shall we? - SECTION ONE - MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION (about me) || USER / NICKNAMES || howdy! I’m @-0nyx-- , but you maybe refer to me as Splotch/Splotchy! Honestly I don’t really have any preference for nicknames so technically you may refer to me as whatever you’d like. my pronouns are preferably she/they, but again, I don’t have a preference. || ABOUT ME || okay so like I don’t like talking to myself so. here we go I guess! I’m not really a sport-y person but I like writing and reading a lot. my favorite season is winter (I almost wrote leafbare warrior cats has taken over my mind /j) and I love waking up in the mornings! birds are so fun to watch and animals are #1 imo. yeah, that’s about all. thanks! || ACTIVITY LEVEL || so surprisingly I’ve been getting more active? typically I’m a 12/20 but now I’d say it’s a decent 16/20, which is definitely an improvement. ((It might just be Gale idk)). I’m most active on the weekends when I have noticing else to do, and usually get on at around 3-5 EST time! || RP EXPERIENCE || I have been on Scratch for more than TWO. YEARS. I’m so old. this is based on previous accounts (( @WarriorCats219 and @-_Splotch-in-Moss_- )) during this time I have been in many roleplays, I had a cat in TSS one time and have been in others that are less pronounced. Gens is currently my most active rp, that and Wings of Freedom! ((I think low-key forgot the name)) || GENS EXPERIENCE || oh dear. out of my time on Scratch, most of it’s been in Gens! I don’t know exactly how long, but I do believe that it’s been more than a year, almost two. Here’s a character list :D ((probably inaccurate because how I remember all this idk. also, please note a lot of my characters died young to starvation, predators, etc. I prefer waiting for warriorhood before killing them off if I ever do.)) - Brindlekit - Splotchedsong - Crow(feather)paw - Acepaw - Ataraxiapaw - Onyxnight - Sleepydream - Cordillera (died in GoR) - Marigold - and finally Azaleablight! I joined Gens at around the end of the puzzle CloudedGlade event. Splotched was a kit when Fritillarystar was killed!! - SECTION TWO - THE KIT || KIT I’M APPLYING FOR || Gale Gale Gale Gale Gale Gale Gale || WHY DO I WANT HER? || She’s so stunning and I like instantly clicked I loooveeee herrr || WHY SHOULD I BE CHOSEN? || because she’s so cool and I’ll take such great care of her and idk but *sobs* - SECTION THREE - PERSONALITY || SIMPLIFIED || (+) intelligent, loyal, brave (=) unpredictable, dramatic, loud (-) careless, rude, lazy || DETAILED || Gale is the kind of cat to snap at you one minute and play with you the next! she’s intelligent, able to understand things quickly. when she’s an apprentice, she’ll learn things a bit faster than others, and finds it easy to find the answers to riddles and such. she’s decently loyal, sticking by a cat’s side through thick and thin! she’s also brave, able to face danger and not quail, though sometimes it might be a bad thing. she’s a tinnyyy bit unpredictable, causing her emotions to kind of fluctuate to the point where any small thing could set her off! she’s definitely dramatic, always exaggerating things with every chance she’s got. there’s also the fact that she’s a bit loud all the time, not really acknowledging the term of an “inside voice”, which could potentially lead kits to dislike her a bit. however, she is a bit careless, often leaping into things without thinking it through despite her intelligence, which could lead her to sticky situations! She’s also rude, not particularly caring if other’s get mad at her, since she’d rather do things on her own. Finally, Gale is *really* lazy. she’ll only do things because she absolutely *has* to, such as the occasional hunt. - SECTION FOUR - GENDER AND SEXUALITY || FUTURE GENDER + PRONOUNS || as a kit Gale shall remain using she/her pronouns and being female. as she grows and becomes more. . uh. . chaotic, she’ll decide to use she/chaos pronouns around apprentice age, identifying as a demigirl. after this she’ll go on to warriorhood and become pomogender or perhaps greygender, which means she denies any specific gender labels or feels a weak connection to a gender identity. She will then use the pronouns she/chaos/ze/fae/e/aer! || SEXUALITY / ROMANTIC ORIENTATION || as a kit, Gale shall remain straight. as she ages, she’ll probably transfer to pomosexual/romantic ((same definition as above)), with a preference for females. - SECTION 5 - RESEARCH - what causes a bobtail in a cat and how does it affect them? a cat born with a bobtail is typically caused by a genetic mutation, and although they can sometimes be harmless, this could potentially cause diseases in their spine, hips, or nerves. there is also Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is when the heart’s wall thickens and causes the blood to pump less efficiently. cont.
this is typically genetic, but doesn’t usually show any symptoms. any visible symptoms are severe, including lethargy and difficulty breathing. (( https://www.webmd.com/pets/cats/what-to-know-about-american-bobtails )) bobtails can also suffer with arthritis and difficulty with balance, since a cat’s tail would normally help with such. - how would Gale manage this disability? Gale will struggle with balance issues and arthritis later in life. the arthritis will most likely start when she is around 60-70 moons (coincidental.), which is around the age of 6 years, which is around the average time a cat would get arthritis. (( https://mobilecatanddogvet.com/understanding-feline-arthritis/#:~:text=Veterinary%20researchers%20estimate%20that%20arthritis,are%20prone%20to%20secondary%20arthritis. )) Besides this, Gale will avoid trying to climb trees due to her lack of balance. running will be a bit strange, too, because of her lack of a tail. - roleplay example Galepaw(kit, but apprentice for this) || she/chaos )) Galepaw glared balefully at a tree. if only she was good at climbing! chaos approached the tree slowly, her stride unbalanced on the rocky terrain surrounding it. she tried to leap up and hook her claws on a tree branch, pulling herself up on one of the lower ones. she hurriedly tried to correct her posture so that she remained straight, but she was leaning the wrong direction and tumbled down the tree, landing with a quiet “oomph!” wasn’t sure what to roleplay so uhm yeah here’s this? arthritis research will be done as she ages, since I don’t want to forget any of it through the months :D - SECTION SIX - ROLEPLAY EXAMPLES Galekit || she/her || 1 moon )) the grey kitten wandered idly around the FlurryClan camp, blue and green eyes watching other kits play with a bored sort of curiosity. She turns and bounds towards the stream that flows through the camp, settling down beside the shallow water. she sniffs it, hoping for a poor fish to wander by, but no. she sighs dramatically, now annoyed. Gale picked up a clover beside the stream, setting it down in the water and watching as it floated away. “ clover boat! “ she declared, following it’s progress.
