✩~ | Intro Howdy hey, it's me once again-- I cannot resist the sweet temptation of a Silver design just like everyone else, and cannot resist this CUTESY bundle of feathers who I think deserves the bestest afterlife and to be loved and cherished-- anyways, onto my application for the wonderfully Glorykit <3 (Thumbnail by Silver lol—) ✩~ | Kit's Personality (Simple) (+) Darling, Optimistic, Considerate (=) Understanding, Vibrant, Mindful (-) Naive, Over Sensitive, Quick to turn to Denial ✩~ | Kit's Personality (Detailed) (+) Darling ~ An individual who is loveable or endearing. | As a kitten, Glorykit is naturally the sweetest and incredibly endearing to any cat he meets. While he might grow out of this behavior the tiniest bit as he "ages", he'll always hold that little loveable sparkle in his eye that others can't help but smile at and humor. He simply loves to be doted on and coddled, and that's only helped by the fact that he's sweeter than sugar by default. (+) Optimistic ~ Of, relating to, or characterized by optimism; feeling or showing hope for the future. | For one so young, Glorykit always seems to try and look at his glass as half full. Sure, he's not with his dama, mapa, or his littermates but he has his grandpa! Sure he won't be able to grow up, but hey! That means he'll always have his boundless energy, right? For Glorykit there's always some sort of silver lining to find, no matter how small or thin. (+) Considerate ~ To be careful not to cause inconvenience or hurt to others; showing careful thought. | Even young, Glorykit always seems to be able to think of others before himself. He always asks his Grandpa if he *wants* to play, makes sure any other cat actually *wants* to tell him a story before he settles down for one. Always thoughtful, always asking before he wants or needs anything. He never wishes for a cat to go out of their way for him, nor make himself take up *too* much space. ~ ~ ~ (=) Understanding ~ To be sympathetically aware of other people's feelings; tolerant and forgiving. | Glorykit has the biggest most bottomless heart full of grace and forgiveness. He’s incredibly in tune with those around him, and while he’s not initially capable of properly acting on it he learns to become very well equipped at helping other cats in emotional distress. (=) Vibrant ~ To be full of energy and enthusiasm. | As a kitten, Glorykit has BOUNDLESS energy that never seems to wane. One of the only upsides to the eternal youth granted to a kitten that walks the stars too young, he never seems to fully tire even when he plays his hardest for hours and hours and hours. One short nap, and he bounces right back up on his paws ready to go again. He also almost always carries around an enthusiastic smile on his face and a chipper tone to his voice, happy to be were ever he is, doing whatever he's doing. (=) Mindful ~ To be conscious or aware of something. | Again, for a young kitten Glorykit shows exceptional awareness of those around him and himself. Always seeming to catch on a *tiny* bit more than a kit his age should, noticing things a kitten usually wouldn't, remembering and recalling things one would think he'd forget. Usually he simply uses this to remember things about the cats he cares about and who care for him, but he also seems to remember some things he probably should forget... ~ ~ ~ (-) Naive ~ Of an individual, to be natural and unaffected; innocent. To show a lack of experience, wisdom, or judgment. | As one would expect, as an incredibly young kitten who never truly got to experience life, Glorykit is *painfully* naive. While he is curious and does ask a lot of questions about how things in the world work, sometimes he simply won't understand or grasp concepts as he's taught them because of this. Though sometimes, it seems as if he's *willingly* continuing to be naive or acting as if he lacks understanding. (-) Over Sensitive ~ Of a person, to be excessively sensitive; easily hurt or damaged, especially in regards to emotions. | Glorykit has the softest heart and the thinnest skin. He feels everything with the upmost intensity, both his highs and his lows. His highs are so intense they almost always inevitably lead to a deep valley, and Glorykit finds himself prone to bursting into sobbing and tears when he becomes overwhelmed or upset by something. He also tends to take even the slightest scolding or criticism far too harshly even when not intended that way.
(Detailed Personality Cont.) (-) Denial ~ A failure to acknowledge an unacceptable truth or emotion or to admit it into consciousness, used as a defense mechanism. | To put it lightly, Glorykit often turns to denial as a way to cope with things he can't handle. Big feelings or concepts are hard for him to grasp and work through, so he restorts to simply ignoring them, or acting as if they don't matter. What he doesn't care about or doesn't believe can't hurt him anymore... right? ✩~ | Thoughts on Family Krakenheart ~ "Grandpa Kraken!!! Will you please, please, *please* tell me that story about the hermit crabs again?" The family member he is inevitably closest too, as his caretaker and guardian. He looks up to Krakenheart as a role model and strives to be like him. Glorykit sometimes tries to mimic the seacat, and often complains about how he wished he had fins like him or a thick tail for whacking other cats with. Due to his closeness with Krakenheart, as Glorykit "ages" he'll likely take an interest in the disciples and perhaps helping with a starward of his own one day. Fire-lilylament ~ "Dama, please-- I miss you, please come back--" Oh boy, if there is one word to describe his thoughts and relation to Fire-lily (at least to begin) it is DAMA ISSUES-- Glorykit, for all intents and purposes, believes that in his dama's disbelief in Starclan, that she had abandoned him or does not care about him. While Glorykit knows deep down that *can't* be true, as his grandpa says so himself, it doesn't ease the hurt that he's unable to reach her and that she seemingly doesn't wish to reach out for him. As time passes, depending on when and how Fire-lily comes back into belief in Starclan, Glorykit will likely react negitively the first time he finally meets her and have some not so nice things to say to her. But, depending on how she reacts, the facade is likely quick to fall and he'll melt into a weeping puddle, simply happy to finally be able to be around his Dama. Water-lilyredemption ~ "Mapa-- you won't leave too, will you?" Water-lilyredemption will be another emotional rock for Glorykit during his first few moons of the afterlife, seeing as his ren is the only living parental connection he has access too. He will likely ask his mapa about if his dama loves him and why he can't see or reach her if she does. Water-lily will likely be the one he dream visits most often, until Fire-lily's belief in Starclan returns. While he is a dama's boy at heart, he deeply cares for his mapa and will likely end up being much closer to Water-lily than Fire-lily for a chunk of his afterlife. Littermates ~ "C'mon! You're all dreaming, so we can finally play together! And don't forget to tell dama and mapa you love them *very* much when you all wake up, yeah?" How Glorykit *adores* his littermates, but also envies them to no end. He cares very deeply for each and every one of his siblings, and visits them often when they are all kits to play with them in their dreams. But as they start to grow and slowly get taller, stronger, faster than he could ever dream to be... it weighs on him. He doesn't wish to be jealous of his siblings and their ability to grow up, to talk to their parents with such ease, but he struggles *not* to be envious. While he'll try not to voice his growing resentment, it may slip out in snide comments or back handed remarks from time to time. He will always apologise afterwards though, and insist he didn't mean what he said. Even when perhaps, he did mean every word... Sunsetcourage ~ "Grandma Sunny! Can you tell me that story about dama again?" Oh this sweet little boy love love LOVES to visit his grandma too. He doesn't visit her very often until he meets his dama Fire-lily for the first time, after which he comes skittering to her for some advice of how to talk to his parent and what she's actually like. I think Sunsetcourage could also help him get over some of his issues reguarding Flily, especially his distrust and hesetance to be near her. He'd also totally come to Sunsetcourage in her dreams just wanting to hear stories, this little guy loves a good tall tale from any cat willing to give him one <3 ✩~ | Trivia & Other - Glorykit copies Krakenheart’s manner of speach and mispronounces words HORRIBLY when he does - He’s a little songbird, constantly chirping and singing for fun and just because! - He’d make a little head piece out of maple leaves + little leg wraps with maple leaves + shove maple leaves in his chest fluff to pretend he had seacat fins <3
