Ok, so this started as Bix’s idea, and I liked it, so I decided to reach out to collab as my bigger platform would have allowed for maximum potential for this project. For my half of the work, I’d host the main project, write up the rules, answer questions and manage over 150 entries, for the entire month of October. For bix’s half, which was honestly a lot easier because they didn’t have to analyze each entry, just ctrl + v. But, they didn’t keep up their half. It took over a week to get even half the people notified, and we only had 1 month. They still hadn’t gotten to everyone by the time they LEFT. I know their school banned Scratch, but here’s the thing. Clearly, they still had access to Scratch after the ban…suspicious? Unless there was a school wide announcement they were GOING TO BAN IT IN THE FUTURE, which I find HIGHLY unlikely, my school also banned scratch and it was just a simple click for the teachers, they do this with YT and TickTock etc. Not saying they’re lying, but, pieces of their story rlly don’t line up. So in the already unlikely scenario in which their school premeditated the banning of Scratch, conveniently days before the SSS deadline, they were able to post a project, instead of…resetting their password and logging in on a home device? I guess if they did all their art on their school computer, that would make sense, so I don’t think that’s a big deal. Then they said they’d give me the list of people before they got banned…they DIDNT. SO, IDK WHAT TO DO. I don’t KNOW your people. I don’t KNOW how to move forward. I don’t KNOW anything and I just feel terrible. I know it’s not really my fault, just a series of very unfortunate coincidences…but it also means if I try to run this it will fail, but if I don’t I’ll have bailed on over 150 people excited for this event.
