She was waiting for this day. School was going to start. She hopped out of bed, silenced the alarm, and rushed to the living room. "Good morning, Mom! Good morning, Dad!" "Good morning, sweetie," Rosie greeted as she walked to where Elec was waiting with a satchel. "Ready for the first day of school?" "As ready as I'll ever be!" Elec responded enthusiastically as she sprang to the dining table. Her mother's fine cooking was presented with an omelet. Elec quickly ate it all up. "Elec, isn't it too early until school starts?" Finn, her father, asked as he entered the room. "Take your time!" But Elec was too excited to listen properly. "Dad, it's never too early to get to school!" Elec replied. She bounded to her room and quickly put on her hat, adjusting it with the help of her mirror. She then sprang to the living room again to retrieve the satchel from her mom. "I'll be back! I love you!" Elec hollered as she hurried to the door. "Good luck!" Finn and Rosie replied after her. ✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧ The tall building of Apricot Academy loomed over Elec. She had never been to school before. She saw kids her age zoom around with friends, while the older ones talked in groups. She took in everything, the maps located in bulletin boards, the classrooms and their halls. As she stepped into her classroom, she was greeted by a female Kirbian, who introduced herself as Elec's new teacher. The teacher adjusted her spectacles and pointed to Elec's designated desk. In the room was only one other Poyokin. She looked as if she was coloring something. Elec set down her satchel and strolled to the girl. "Hello! I'm Electra!" Elec greeted. "Hi... I'm Rin," the Poyokin mumbled. "What are you drawing?" "Oh, just a pretty flower...." "That's cute!" "...Thanks." Elec could see that something was wrong. She asked softly, "Is something wrong?" Rin shifted her yellow gaze to Elec and whispered, "I'm... scared that I won't make any friends. I don't want to look lonely." "Then I can be your friend!" Rin stared up at Elec. "Really?" she asked. "We've just met...." "Yeah! May I draw with you?" Rin's face lit up, and she smiled. "Sure." They laughed and drew until class started. ✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧ "I'm back!" Elec entered through the door. In the house was Rosie, and her lilac eyes met Elec's. "Hey, how was school?" Rosie asked. Elec explained what she learned, her new friend Rin, and the scavenger hunt for homework. "So, I'm assuming that you'll have to go to the woods?" Rosie asked. "Don't travel farther than the Moonlight Meadow, and bring a friend with you, like Rin." "Alright!"
