Hello my pe-o-ple! I am here to announce the game jam winners! But before I do, I wanna say a few things; 1.If you didn’t make the list, that doesn’t mean your game was bad in any way. I had to pick a winner, which in that logic means everybody wins in my heart… but there’s really only one winner. So don’t feel bad or anything, this is how life works dudes. 2. I know the YouTube video is taking a REALLY long time to edit, and I literally cannot apologize enough for it. Im trying to make it as entertaining as I can while also giving some constructive criticism on EVERY entry. 3. If you did win the jam, I need all the prize givers to DO THEIR JOB and go follow those winners. I will give the information on how to follow 2nd and 3rd winners below. Now, with that out of the way, let’s get to our glorious winners! First, some honourable mentions! •Frostbite by Puppetmaster271 This game is really cool, and I think it would’ve been a lot better for me If there was more time for the jam, which is partly my fault, and you can only do so much in 30 days. Otherwise, I really did enjoy playing the game itself, which is why it made the list! •Brainfreeze by SquishyScratchAccount This concept of a game seemed really cool on its own. Again, the only problem of it not getting higher could be because of time restrains, and they didn’t have time to make an actual game, which is totally fine. In the end, I really liked the vision it had! #3: The Frozen Beginning by miles1333 The voice acting is peak, the models for the animatronics were great, and it also aligned with the theme in a somewhat unique way. Although there wasn’t too much gameplay, the story, art and sounds really were enough to make it to the 3rd spot. I am not biased because I was the main character, but I’m just saying, you don’t see a lot of decent voice acting on Scratch, so props to you! #2: Hotel Freeze by easygoose This game hit really hard. I’m a sucker for anomaly games, and this one felt like your typical, find the anomaly scratch game, which I loved! Although some entities were… confusing, i still had fun reading the lore, looking at the art, and hearing the slowed down version of Daisy Bell 19 times. Great job for getting second!! : Cellular Conundrum by RawCode-Games Peak. I didn’t record my second play though of the game where I actually beat it, but man was this game cool. I am also a huge sucker for puzzle games, since me and my friends play them all the time. This game felt like an old flash game, that really connected with me for some reason lol. I loved that simplistic art style, the subtle hints, everything. The one flaw I found was that it was difficult to figure out exactly what to do, but hey, could be a skill issue, who knows? :/ And that’s it! Whoo that was a lot of writing. Here’s who to follow and stuff if youre a prize giver! 3rd Place winner (all below must follow!): 2nd Place winner (all below must follow!): 1st Place winner (all below must follow!):
Thank you all for participating in this years game jam! If luck is in our favour, I could host one next year! Really quickly, I also wanna mention that I randomly hit 160 subs, so I’ll be doing a QNA with my lovely voice in the very near future! So be ready to ask your questions, and don’t do anything stupid this time >:(
