Yeah STUFF HAPPENED- When Dandy and Valery were fighting in Valery's lore, Dandy NOT ONLY told Valery that they wouldn't be there without him convincing Delilah, but ALSO threw an experimental Ichor vial at his eye which caused his spiked petals and its why he covers his eye. His eye is closed in the drawing bc he doesn't want his antennae to get in his eyes. the black stuff on his foot is not ichor, it's pen ink and paint(he painted and drew on himself then)
