*Please read the description, especially the second and third paragraphs as well as the part information. This is very important.* - A test to see whether you could solve the Kira case, and become the next world's greatest detective. - A Death Note themed deductive reasoning test. I've been wondering if the average person could solve or make progress the Kira case, and I cant really find anything on the internet that genuinely tests deductive skills needed to solve it. So, I decided to try and make one myself. I'm new to making tests like these and I'm no detective, just a kid. Really the purpose of this project was for me or any other Death Note fans to have fun. Be warned, though this test may only consist of 12 questions (or 'tasks'), none are simple as a basic question. Thorough investigation is required to understand each, so this will very likely take a long time to complete. Please have patience, maximum focus is recommended. Each task is a completely different hypothetical situation. Nothing from one task will connect to another. (Big Tech was just a name I reused, please don't let that confuse you) - Part A: Based off of L's perspective. Because he didnt know the rules and limits to Kira's power, neither do you. This part of the test is **intentionally disloyal to the rules of the Death Note** in favor of a test genuinely involving deductive reasoning. This was in order to prevent it becoming just a Death Note trivia game. With this, please be open minded and do NOT base your answers only on what you know from the actual anime/manga. The intent is to pretend you're investigating the Kira case from nothing. *In the very first task, each note provides a separate message and don't connect outside the context of the final answer. Part B: Based off of Near's perspective. Mostly the same as part A, but instead taking into account the Death Note itself and getting closer to Kira. Unlike part A, you **may** use certain background knowledge of the notebook's rules. However this is not required and rules are provided in necessary cases. Part C: Based off of Mello's perspective. This section involves making plans and initiating action against Kira. I admit I am not very creative, so for this part I struggled to come up with very 'clever' tasks for in comparison to part B, I apologize. - TIPS: For free-type questions, include **as many keywords as possible** to ensure you get the correct answer. Space key to advance through the test. Careful, you cant go back to previous tasks after submitting your answer. Click and hold to zoom in to certain evidence (some zoom in evidence needs the magnify tool activated if its more than one page.) Ask questions or point out any fallacies or bugs in the comments. This project was made entirely by one person, so some aspects may have been overlooked. V to show setting variables, S to hide them (disabling overlay ii can help with difficulties in clicking buttons) - *Of course, none of the people or characters described are real and were created on the spot for the project. 'in L percentages' is just the real percentage divided by ten. ('6%' is 60% and so on) When you finish the test, I highly recommend seeing inside the project, there is an answers sprite intended to explain each answer in detail. - CREDITS: all 'tasks' or questions were made completely by me, as well as the thumbnail art. (i will not say who's eye that is, but i can tell you it's not L's.) this entire test is based off, and centers on Death Note, an anime/manga by Tsugumi Obha and Takeshi Obata. all songs in the project are from the Death Note OST, created by Hideki Taniuchi and Yoshihisa Hirano (with the exception of 'Sweet Vanilla' by Hyde, but this isint apart of the main project and only plays upon certain circumstances.) sound effects are from the penguinmod effect library most overlay images used to decorate the questions to make them visually appealing were from google this should be obvious, but the voices are text to speech. i do not use my voice in projects. - the end is near
